  • IT IS ALL ABOUT JESUS
    IT IS ALL ABOUT JESUS
    My dear friend,
It is true you answered the altar call and gave your life to Christ. It is true you profess to be a follower of Jesus.
My question to you is WHY? What is the real reason you enlisted in this army?
Whatever the reason is, will determine what you do as you journey on.
Apostle Paul wrote in Galatians 4:19-20
Wake up to God's deposit inside you, take up your cross and follow the master, take our position as Christ ambassadors here on earth, be Gods oracle. Your duty is to bring back to God as many souls as He will let you. This exercise is to equip you and I for the journey, so we can encourage ourselves as we go along. and we can all look forward to returning home as faithful stewards who know that they will surely get rewarded. Let us fully grasp our positions in Christ, run the devil and his cohorts out of our affairs and that of our fellow brothers.
Know that you are not alone in this journey. God certainly has remnants everywhere. To know Gods wisdom and to be let into God, secrets is undoubtedly a blessing that must not be taken lightly. To be trusted with pain is a great honour. To be corrected in Christ is proof that they have not given up, on you.
We learn many things, God is more willing to bring us close to Himself than we are eager to draw near. He loves us, no matter what. His arms are big enough to save us. God is holy, and He will not tolerate sin. God is faithful; He can do what He said He would do
My friend, what did you glean from the scriptures, from the stories, from life? Are you turning out like Christ? Is Christ being formed in you? In what ways can you say you have changed? Please answer these questions, and the ones the Holy Spirit will bring to your heart.
As you continue in this journey, ask that many will discover destiny, ministries will take off on the wings of the Spirit, and most importantly, lives get transformed.

  • True Intercession
    True Intercession
Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1:4-11), Solomon (1 Kings 8:28-50), Elijah (1 Kings 18:36-39), Daniel (Daniel 9:3-10) all prayed. Their nation needed God, and they did not exempt themselves even though they were ok. They were comfortable in their own right, and they could choose to turn a blind eye to the plight of the people. They decided to identify. Even with the people's rebellion and sin, they confessed and begged for mercy. And they got their desires met.
When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Then I said: “Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses. “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’ “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” I was cupbearer to the king. (Nehemiah 1:4-11)
    Also read (1 Kings 8:28-50) and (1 Kings 18:36-39)
So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors, and to all the people of the land. “Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame—the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. We and our kings, our princes and our ancestors are covered with shame, Lord, because we have sinned against you. The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; we have not obeyed the Lord our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. (Daniel 9:3-10)
True intercession is never about us. It is first about the Lord's will and purpose here on earth and then about the people. If your prayer is only about your little self in your little corner, then it cannot be said that you are in intercession. If you are not passionate enough to carry others like they are you, you do not know a thing about standing in the gap.
If you are still taking sides, you are in kindergarten. If you are always shifting blames, you need to consult Daniel or talk to Nehemiah. If you think you are the only one, God told Elijah he had other armies who could do the same thing. If the sins of your surroundings do not move you, you need to study the person of Christ. If all you say to God in prayer is 'bless me o Lord', we need to send you back to Sunday school. Life is only fulfilling when we live for others. Jesus came to give us His life; we need to do the same.
Beloved, consider this the next time you say a prayer; life is beyond you. It is about every other person. Amazon.com/anneajadi

  • Heaven Kisses the Earth
    Heaven Kisses The Earth
Heaven bowed down and visited a thirteen-year-old girl (Luke 1:26-38) and her old cousin (Luke 1:5-25). Consider this, the old and the young were visited the same period. The divine mission: Tell them they would have a baby. They were to stay close in touch with each other.
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.” “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. (Luke 1:26-28)
Mary was young, green, virgin and engaged to be married to Joseph. The angelic salutation is very informing: "Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you." Herein lay the meat. God recognised her as royal as only Kings got such. The angel announced she was a favoured one. Pray, what good would a thirteen-year-old have done to evoke such grace? Was it about her or the heavenly agenda? She heard that the Lord was with her and had decided to deposit heavens will in her.
They recognised the woman in the teenage girl. Talk about the God who sees the end from the beginning. They trusted her enough to disclose the details of the child's destiny. The angel allayed her fears and revealed that she had found favour with God. How come? The part of this story that intrigues me is the fact that this teenage girl was bold enough to ask questions.
We have seen older folk who also got an angelic visitation and who did not compose themselves in Mary's manner. She quizzed the angel, received answers convincing enough to make her agree to be the Saviour's carrier. To this, she got a seal: The Holy Ghost! I like Mary, where others feared, she quizzed. She knew it would be tough, the shame, the embarrassment would not be easy, but she chose to bear the Lord. Pray, where did this thirteen-year-old gather such depth? No wonder she was blessed amongst women.
What is it about Elizabeth that got heavens attention? Is it safe to assume that her lineage being good and of the priestly stock, had something to do with it? She was of Aaronic stock, and her accreditation said she was righteous. She and hubby served faithfully, and they were rated blameless yet, they had no child. Can someone tell us how grace is distributed?
She was reported barren and old! They continued serving and then came the day, the angel showed up, promised a child and even gave details of his mission on earth. The man was old; he's waited for this for years; then it came. Really, why at that time? What happened to all these years? Why wait till madam was well stricken in years?
What is it about angels that make men fear? We learn many things:
    * • Angels stand in the presence of God.
    * • Angels are God's messengers to us who are heirs of salvation
    * • Angels do only the bidding of the Lord
    * • Their appearance sends the chill down the spine of man.
    * • Their processing methods are not like ours.

  • WHAT LABEL ARE YOU WEARING?
    What Label Are You Carrying?
The list is long. Chronicles tell us who brought whom forth. They even tell whom their strange associations birthed. Then they get to him. He was born in sorrow; his mama must have had it so rough when she mentioned the name, people did not object. After all, they objected when Elizabeth said her son's name would be John. ‘He shall be called Jabez,’ she said. Pray where was daddy, did he also have a rough pregnancy and birth?
He was not lacking; it was recorded that he was more honourable than his brothers yet the prophecies he heard daily was 'child of sorrow.' How does one who already had a city named after him go through life calling forth sorrow?
... But when you grow restless, you will throw his yoke from off your neck.”
    (Genesis 27:40)
Had it not been said that heaven will permit whatever we allowed on earth? God said of the children of Israel:
So, tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say
    (Numbers 14:28)
A time came in Jabez's life when he had had enough. He took his case to God.
And the clans of scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites and Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the Rekabites. (1 Chronicles 2:55)
Jabez was more honourable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
    (1 Chronicles 4:9-10)
Jabez knew who would change the course: Israel's God. He recognised that a blessing would resolve the matter. An increase in territory shut the enemy up. God’s power would keep from trouble; trouble brought about pain. This is very instructive, how come he knew not to blame his surroundings for his fate. Not once did we hear him tell God to deal with his enemies. What do we learn from this? You do not have to worry about your enemies if God is on your side. The man with THE BLESSING cannot be cursed:
I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.
    (Numbers 23:20)
This is not the first-time things like this would be put into their right perspective. Jacob placed his hand of blessing on Ephraim (fruitfulness) not Manasseh (deliverance)
Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh and said, “It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” The second son he named Ephraim and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.” (Genesis 41:51-52)
When Joseph saw his father placing his right hand on Ephraim’s head he was displeased; so he took hold of his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. Joseph said to him, “No, my father, this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.” But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He too will become a people, and he too will become great. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a group of nations.” He blessed them that day and said, “In your name will Israel pronounce this blessing: ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.’” So he put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh.
    (Genesis 48:17-20)
The salient lesson here is through our fruitfulness we receive deliverance. That is the way of God. If we must make it through life, we cannot sit around and wait for salvation to come. If the woman in the book of Kings was not hospitable to the prophet, she would never have had a child.
Back to Jabez, like him, we need to learn what the real issue is. It was a fruitfulness matter. It is the blessing issue; it was a territory concern. There is a way you would wield God’s power; demons would leave your territory alone. If like Jabez, you go through life with the wrong label, go to God. Get a change. Get your request granted. Jabez did.

  • LOVE LIKE JESUS
    LOVE LIKE JESUS
Did you know that all the commandments we were given as believers in Jesus can be summed up in two? Love God and Love man.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
When the LORD your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the LORD, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name.
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31.
To love God is to obey His commands and to joyfully seek to please and to serve Him. To love man is to seek his highest good. To defer to, elevate more than yourself. To show them what Jesus is like. If the love you are willing to show today is self-driven, you have missed the mark. Retrace your steps. Do it like Jesus. Love unconditionally, give pure and untainted, do not seek to strip the other, rather seek to cover and dignify. Happy love day

  • Attention to Details
Hey Girlfriend, Check out Women In History
This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham
    (Matthew 1:1)
Genealogies, who likes to read that part of the Bible? Try it with the King James Version, and I bet you would need the Holy Spirit in all His fullness to go through. At the beginning of this year, I determined to make a serious effort at not skipping through the 'begat' parts of the Bible. I told myself, ‘if God thought it wise to include that detail, there must be something he wants me to learn.’
Here is what I devised; I would read through that portion of the Bible in the contemporary versions. That way, it felt like I was reading a novel. It worked. I discovered that God carefully included important details for us. For example, He told us who gave birth to who, who their father was, and then in the case of some people, He would tell us who their mother was.
For our challenge today, we will look at this account of the genealogy of Jesus as recorded by Mathew and pay attention to the mothers that were included.
I am particularly interested in my sisters, seeing this is the season of love and all kinds of words would be finding their way into your space. Some would be nice and some not so good. Some voices would be loud and some would hardly be a whisper. Your emotions may travel and the questions may creep in.
When this happens, I want you to take a trip back into history. Check out the babes that lived ages ago and see that you are not doing badly at all.
First mention was Tamar. Who was she? How did she get in? She was a woman scorned, cheated and when she saw that what was rightfully hers by custom was being denied her, she devised a means of getting it. The methods were drastic and unorthodox (playing whore sounds yuck). Why this qualified her, I am in awe as I write (Genesis 38:6-30). Her father in law admitted his wrong, yielded right to her in that it was his action that caused her to make such a move.
The second woman was Rahab. We first meet her in the Book of Joshua. She hid the guys that had gone to spy out Jericho (Joshua 2:3, 6:17, 23, 25; Hebrew 11:31, James 2:25). She was the harlot who lived by the wall. She understood how to latch on to grace and by so doing, saved her entire household. As I studied this, I could only say Wow!
Our third woman was Ruth the Moabite. Did God not say His children should not intermarry with the Moabites? How did she get in? Study the book of Ruth (Ruth1: 4, 14, 16, 22).
Did you notice how she got in, those powerful words of commitment?
Fourth on the list was the wife of Uriah the Hittite. She had slept with King David and committed adultery. Though it was not at her instance, it was adultery all the same (2 Samuel 11:3).
What is the point? If these women could make it into the ancestry of Jesus, how much more you? In your case, the blood of Jesus provided a covering for whatever circumstances your birth story is. Some of the women had to work their way in. Jesus did that for us. We were grafted in, adopted, accepted in the beloved. How cool is that! Since God paid so much attention to ancestry. We ought to do so. Only do what He did. He picked what was justifiable. The faith of the women got them in. Your faith is all you need.
The daughter in law, the harlot, the strange woman, the other man's wife were all in Jesus bloodline; was your own that bad? Jesus took them in then. He still takes people in now. Stop condemning yourself; stop feeling unworthy. Join the clan; there is enough room!

  • No Shortcut With God
    No Shortcut With God
He knew her well. The whole family were now his family. The day He saw them, the willingness was astounding. They had a family business, and they left it all, to follow him. The matriarch must be a thinker, a planner. She must have looked into the future done her calculations and decided to act. Her two sons had abandoned the family business to follow this man. Sorting out their future was a must-do.
When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him. (Mark 1:19-20)
From his acts, it was apparent He was a powerful man. He had connections. From the way He had been dealing with her boys, she was sure He liked them. They found favour with him. He took them to his private meetings. He changed their names, renamed their destinies signifying that He planned to take them with Him for the long haul. As they journeyed through every day, He even confided in them.
He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” (Matthew 26:37-38)
Her whole family had related to the man. She studied him well. She knew his needs; she had followed Him around even at His lowest times. She knows Him well; women know things. His need was worship and that she knew how to do very well. Her motive, secure a future for her boys.
Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favour of him. “What is it you want?” he asked. She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.” “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”
    (Matthew 27:55-56)
So, to Jesus, she went, her two boys in tow. Smart woman, she knew how to approach higher authority. Give Him what He needs, and in the case of Jesus, he was in need of worship. She bowed down in front of Him. Bowing guaranteed access to sovereignty. When you bring your head down, you were sure of a lifting. Celebrating the master would surely soften His heart.
The only issue was, though Jesus was man, he was also God and God saw through the act. He saw through man's heart. He saw the motives and in the case of this 'madam', who by the way knew that her destiny was tied to those of her two boys, (her identity as recorded, is that she is the mother of James and John) her motives were off course.
She was doing a good thing with an evil heart. Trust the master. He put everything in their proper perspective. The boys, through their mama's calculation, incurred the indignation of fellow disciples. Thinking about it, they must have been in on the whole thing. Letting their mother do the presentation must have been calculated to give their matter more credence.
Beloved, how many times have you worshipped so that you could present your request to God. Like this mama, you understand you cannot just throw your request at Him. You ought to worship or in today's practice, sing a few solemn songs. Wait for a sombre time and slot in the very reason for which you came in the first place.
How so? Money, sometimes we give to impress God enough to grant the request. We may even pray and fast, all the 40, 70, 100-day fasts, to what intent? Serve in church, in groups. Exactly why are you doing the things that you do? What do we learn? God sees it all! He sees our hearts and weighs our motives. He knows our thoughts afar off, and God cannot be fooled...

  • POWER BELONGS TO GOD
My child, I see you wonder, I hear you heave. I am there when you call, and all your questions I have answers for. You wonder where my power is, how come I am not wielding it in your defense. You were certain I ignored your rights and looked the other way, when you fell into temptation. You ask if I noticed your troubles, hmm, my child, you speak in ignorance, I talked to your brother Job yesterday. Today it's your turn!
I want to take you on a tour of my Power. Just take a stroll with me, let's consider a few things. You see all that water, I mean the oceans, the seas, the rivers, all of them, I measured them in my hand. Are you trying to imagine how big that hand can be? Don't bother; your mind is too small. I measured the heavens with my fingers. As for the whole earth, I know exactly how much it weighs. Even the mountains and the hills, I had a scale for them.
When you talk to me in prayer, you speak as though I told you I needed an adviser or even a consultant. Tell me in what way can you advise me? How can you even presume to direct my Spirit or what will you teach me about stuff I made and to think you were not even there!
You see all the nations of the earth to me is just as if you put drops of liquid in a bucket or dropped dust on a scale. The scale would not even feel that something was placed on it. When I pick up the whole earth, it is as if I picked up a grain of sand. (I have warned you about trying to imagine my size. Your mind cannot take it).
If you take all the cedar in Lebanon and all the animals in its forest and you were to use them in burning sacrifice to me, do you know all of it would not be enough? I sit right in the circles of the earth, and when I look down at all of you, you look like grasshoppers. All of you who live on earth are as nothing. From my vantage position, the great men of the world are judged. With a breath of mine, they become nothing.
Remember, we are talking about my Power. I created the whole earth. I do not get tired or weary. I am never at a loss as to what to do. My tenure does no expire. After I dealt with your brother David he said:
One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God
    (Psalm 62:11)
My child, hear it from me, I am all Power. My hand is not short; I can save you. I have provided for your salvation, your escape and your healing. Whatever you may need, I have already arranged. The trouble is, you talk a lot, and you know so little. Pause awhile, and I will show you a whole lot. When you come to me, be more eager to hear me a s I have a whole lot I want to tell you.
I want you to know my secrets, but you are always in a hurry or ever so distracted when you come to me. I am sure you heard my dealings with Moses when I made him 'Oga' (master) to Pharaoh. They saw me in action. As for you don't worry, your enemies are nothing for me to handle. There is no power outside of me. When I needed to show my Power to Egypt, I made Pharaoh stubborn. I tell you, my child, your issues are nothing.
Please take a look around you, check out creation and see that it is nothing for me to deal with stuff that concerns you. The only thing is that we live in different time zones. The goodies I have for you take time to prepare; besides most of them, you cannot contain. I have to prepare you too! I have told you, do not fret about a thing. I have it all covered. Nothing escapes me. You are my child, I love you, and I have good plans for you. I will make sure you arrive. Just trust me. I know what I am doing. As for those you consider enemies, they are working for me. I am using them. You know, the hotter the furnace you put gold in, the finer and purer it is when it comes out. Relax! I am working out your good.
    From your Dad,
    God (Isaiah 40:12-31)

  • LIFE TALKS
    LIFE TALKS
Driving on the freeway, there are loads of signs. Some billboards spread across the whole freeway, some are just barely legible. Some you see clearly from afar, for some you must slow down to make out what has been written. Life talks daily. Some days the sound is so loud a deaf man can hear. Other days, you could barely hear the whisper. Yet, you need to hear all that speech to be able to make it through life.
Are your senses sharpened? Do you even listen? What voices govern your decisions? Where are you in this journey of life? Is this your morning? Are you in midlife? Is the sun setting yet at your end?
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. (Psalms 19:1-4)
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)
Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech (Proverbs 1:20-21)
Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? At the highest point along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gate leading into the city, at the entrance, she cries aloud (Proverbs 8:1-3)
Some lessons are learned just walking paths; some are right at the gates whilst some you must dig through tunnels. As varied as we are, we find that God has left for each one of us lessons on the Freeways of life. Whatever we do, we must pay attention. The billboards of life are just as important as the handbills. Some milestones are legible, others have seen better days and so can barely be seen. What we must bear in mind, however, is whether it's the written signs or the faded ink on the milestone, we need the information to go through life.
Sometimes, you must run, other times walking is just fine and yet some other time, you must slowly tread. Wherever you are now, you must read the signs, heed the warnings or you may be sorry. Seeing that there is time for everything under the sun, we must ensure that we do not do in the morning what should happen in the evening. I say again, my friend, pay attention. Read the signposts! Your life guide, God the Holy Spirit, is ever so willing to show you what you need to know. Embrace Him and don't ignore Him. He holds the signs.
