Today’s guest, Emily Cleghorn, was abandoned by her family of origin in many ways. She suffered several forms of abuse as a child and while she was brave enough to stop it at a young age, she did not have the tools or support to process what had happened to her. She stuffed it all down and eventually ended up with serious health issues. In her darkest moments she plead with God to see her through and in return she’d help others through this difficult walk. She is now doing just that with her efforts in supporting mothers who have been through trauma.

Today’s guest, Jill Sitnick, was born unto parents wholly ill-equipped to care for a child. Their trauma manifested her trauma and therein lies the lesson that generational trauma is a serious and present force. She finds a loving companionship after realizing she didn’t have to get beaten anymore and made the conscious decision to not have children for several reasons. She found happiness in her career and eventually healing from psychedelics. Her transformation has been so healing, she has made it her mission to promote the better understanding of using altered states of consciousness to physiologically change the body and it’s manifestations of PTSD.

Today’s guest, Susan Snow has a typical American 80’s lifestyle as a teenager, she was concerned with her friends and her new boyfriend, and then her life was drastically altered when her dad was taken from this earth with premeditated intention. She found no real help for her unusual and difficult to understand symptoms, and was left to do her best to manage what she calls, crazy. Later in life another tragedy happened and it sent her into a spiral that led to some very dark places. Hope arrives in the form of a therapy that anyone can do and that was her introduction to the idea that she could heal from her own trauma, and be a guide to others who have experienced the stress left after a traumatic event.

She got lost in the mix and when the sexual abuse started, she realized no one in her family would stand up for her and turned to writing as it was a way to express herself without her stutter getting in the way. After accepting the traditional path for a woman, she ended up in a facility who eventually did help her address her combative relationship with food, but only after inducing more unnecessary trauma.
