Today’s guest immigrated to America as a young adult and was terrified of saying no to anything she was given at work, for fear they’d fire her and derail her American Dream. This pressure to please the people in her life eventually led her to a medial emergency where she could have died had she not been taken to the emergency room for treatment. The cause of her ailment was burnout, and it nearly cost her, her life.
She walks us through her realizations that she had a traumatic childhood and how the coping mechinisims she had used as a child were now causing her harm in her adult life. She then re-examined her life habits, learned to say no, and began the process of being there for herself to address those childhood wounds.
Walk with us as we learn that honoring ones needs is greater than abandoning oneself. She is gifting her book PDF to you here. <3
