Former baseball player, Chris Vasami believes developing the mental and emotional part of a player’s game is just as important as the physical. His training philosophy not only stems from 6 years of professional play, but also his health challenges. Chris was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2017 and says he fights to be the best version of himself on and off the field every day. With 15 years under his belt running his own company, Vasami Training Inc., of Charlotte, NC, he’s coached dozens of kids into the college level so far. In this episode, we explore his holistic approach to baseball training, along with Chris’ innovative hitting programs and his daily “non-negotiables” as a cancer survivor that have equipped him to take on anything.
