Heavenly father only you can see my heart. I’m sorry that I’ve gone my own way and turned my back on you please forgive me. Thankyou that Jesus died so I may be forgiven. I promise to make restitution for the wrong I’ve done and to follow you the rest of my days. in Jesus name I pray Amen.

Do you work for an unfair boss, struggle with the way the world sees you? We sometimes feel like we live in an upside-down world. What we do here on earth is preparing us for a heavenly reward.

Yesterday we were looking at this scripture verse from Nehemiah, The joy of the Lord is my strength and seeing that when God puts his joy into our hearts we become people of faith, strong in conviction and strong in love for one another.

But how do we maintain this joy? The Bible tells us that we are strangers in this world as we are in it but not of it. We still take part in a lot of the worlds activities during work and play but it’s how we choose to spend our free time which will determine our walk with God and the level of our joy.

As a Christian you are a representative or ambassador of Jesus Christ. What you say and do is closely watched and scrutinised by the nonbeliever.

We are all saved sinners but now live not to ourselves but for gods glory as we have been bought with a price. And it is a privilege to serve the King of kings in this way.

Honour means high respect thus honouring someone means you are recognising and respecting their authority and position.

Honour God with your body why? Verse19 your body is a temple of the holy spirit who is in you.

Jesus declared I tell you the truth unless a man is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

How can I know that I am saved? If you have never asked this question then there is a good chance that you are not saved.

God’s love for us is immense, we are His treasure, and we are His joy. Amazing. If only we could see ourselves as God sees us. We need him to put his love and his joy and what he’s feeling into us and that’s what he promises us. When God does a work in us and puts his joy in our heart, it becomes tangible & deep-seated and moves us to rejoice and worship Him through a desire for holy living and complete obedience.

Today we are going to look at what is involved in training your child.

Obviously, everything we do for a child should be done in love and by considering the child’s welfare first. however just as important especially in the early years is insuring your own welfare. Your child has no one else and is totally relying on you for everything. If you are too tired or too stressed or overworked this will impact on your child’s welfare badly so you have an obligation to look after yourselves too.
Don’t be too proud to ask for help as the early years can be really really tough.

Today we are going to look at The responsibilities of parenting and laying the foundation for adult life.

I’m going to start with a strange choice for parenting. A Bible verse which is Proverbs 28 vs2. There are many more obvious verses in the Bible which refer to parenting behaviour but we live in a generation where school suspension and exclusion are at record levels so I wanted to look at rebellion first.
