When we look to earthly solutions to life's problems, leaving God out of the equation, it is easy to get discouraged and lose interest in serving Christ. Satan can convince us that it isn't worth it.  How should we think to keep on keeping on?  Listen for some answers from God's Word. 

Why am I here? What purpose is worth living for? A weekly paycheck is a pretty shallow way to live, but Jesus wants to give us a greater purpose than ourselves that fills our life with meaning as we make a difference in people's lives and in the world ... if we dare to trust Him. The quest for more and more thing, money, relationships, etc. can be a motivation for action, but the cost can be very high and the objective inevitably becomes a disillusion. It is a subtle trap that can ruin a life. Thus Jesus warns us against being deceived in this lesson.
