Key Gems from this episode: - Mentorship is critical and can even be life changing - Purpose is a uniquely well designed plan by God for your life - created before we entered our mother's womb - God knows what to take you through to accomplish His purpose for your life  - Keep your eye on the prize when times get rough - the prize is victory over every area of your life  - Although her process was dark and life altering (enduring rape, molestation, divorce, homelessness, bipolar diagnosis, a stillborn birth, and surviving her first two years of life only on water and calcium drops) - God was able to get the glory out her life - she now shares this story to bring healing to others  - Lisa knows her purpose is to bring encouragement and hope to the hopeless and broken - She realized the enemy wanted to kill her but she was determined to not let him win - She entered several toxic relationships trying to fulfill what she didn't get as a child - sought her own will instead of God's which will take you the long route - God's way is always the best way - Checked herself into a mental institution and started therapy to get help - God and therapy is okay!  - Started writing devotions for her church which led her to writing her first book - it is so important to be obedient to God - God unlocked the door for this blessing and brought the right person in to help her  - To discover your unique purpose, seek God first  - When you feel discouraged, keep moving no matter what - God will put his super on your natural - there will be spiritual warfare but you are on the winning side! - Take the licks and keep bouncing back like the punching bag - Use your resources to get through the process - God wants only the best for you (Jeremiah 29:11) - We all have a different sound in the earth - get in tune with your sound  - God wants us to do more than just live to exist - we must be living epistles  - Stand in expectation - God wants the best for you - make sure you get it! - People can't see the scars underneath your story but they represent something great - they are part of your story
