    • Purpose is your God given passion inside that when you want to deny it, it keeps tugging/pulling at you

    • People often want to know "Do you ask God why me....no I ask Him why not me?" 
    • Find out why God has you here vs. focusing only on your personal desires 
    • There is no time to fear or worry, take the next step into your calling - if it is for you to do, no one can stop you from doing it
    • God will make sure things turn out right when you seek His purpose for your life
    • God uses people to show witness to HIm
    • You can grow in the valley no matter what you're going through - be patient and allow God to walk through the valley with you
    • In the quiet moments, take time to hear from God
    • No matter how you feel your life has been detoured the Lord has a plan for you 
    • "My service to Him has never been about the income but always about the outcome"
    • Our vision was meant for us - God will bless it if you lean on Him 
    • Take time to get in a quiet place to let God know your concerns - He's our Father - He cares
    • An empty cup has nothing to pour out - step back to replenish and mediate 
    • Find out what you need to do for God, find out what He has purposed you to do because it matters - you'll live a richer and more fulfilled life 
    • It's not about you - it's all about God!

      This week on the Walking Out Your Purpose podcast, we are discussing God's presence and the importance of starting with Him before we embark on anything. It's critical that we look at these questions closely:

      *Are you yearning for God? 

      *Are you giving Him your all? 

      *Are you desiring and seeking His will? 

      *Whose court are you really on? 

      *Do you seek Him in all decisions? 

      *Do you give Him the praise and glory deserved? 

      *Are you more focused on the things of the world than God?

      Today you will be blessed by none other than my sister in Christ JoVonna Russell who is one of the strongest people I know. She has dealt with many trials and tribulations especially in the area of her health but she has not let that stop her from praising God, from accomplishing God's will or His purpose. You will be blessed by what your ears hear today!

      • Use your gift or you will lose it 
      • NO EXCUSES!!  - Do the work God has called you to do
      • Don't neglect yourself - create your own space even if its only a few minutes - find time for yourself 
      • Use your voice to speak up for God, yourself and others 
      • To have an impact in ministry - listen to others in a way to understand their needs and serve them where they are
      • Your purpose will become clear when you grow from your circumstances 
      • Be intentional about your personal devotion - Spend time to refuel self 
      • Be okay with being alone at times 
      • Be unapologetically YOU
      • God says I'm here - when no one shows up - even in the hospital room 
      • Dig deep with God and when He has delivered you, be ready to Go! He will fill you up for you to bless others
      • God gives us storms so we can show others how to overcome 
      • Come off the porch with your gift...don't be fearful - we all have a story to tell - there is a book inside all of us!
      • Do something different to help someone else 
      • NO matter the trial or tribulation, we still have a reason to be here 
      • God is always there when no one else shows up 
      • Facing storms with a smile with a purpose for a purpose

        I'm sure you've read it many times: Matthew 17:14-20 but do you believe it? Do you practice it? This scripture reminds us of the expectations Jesus has for us in the faith department. In vs 20 He says: “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible." Everytime I read this I get excited. Knowing that through Christ I can overcome any mountain is such a great feeling. It is a joy to be in God's hands...He got us! So, whether you're starting a ministry, starting a new job, launching a podcast, opening a business or expanding responsibilities - you have to evolve to handle the magnitude of your gift. 
        God wants you to Level Up in your faith so that you can accomplish what He has you here on earth to do but also so that you know how to respond when trials and challenges come. That said, tune in to this week's episode to:

        Listen in to the conversation with Dominique and I as we discuss the purpose God gave her and how it took her being laid off after working 13 years for a non profit organization in a totally different area to bring it to life. She could have taken that time off to find another job but she chose to be obedient to God and now she is successfully walking in her calling (even during a pandemic) serving expecting mothers, partners and people around the world who want to support expecting mothers. In today's episode, you'll learn more about being a birth worker, how's she fighting for birth justice and the staggering statistics of how black women are dying disproportionately (3-4 times more often) to the majority. Dominique will also talk about how important it is for us to be educated and to support our sisters during the birthing process. This is something she is very passionate about and feels strongly that God led her to this place because she asked Him. Many times we don't ask our Father directly about our purpose but if and when we do, He will answer us!
