Walking the Shadowlands

Skin walkers, ee naaldloosh, bear walkers, ishkitini. These are names given by Native American cultures to a type of harmful witch, who has the ability to turn into – or disguise  themselves as an animal. Most often in the form or shape of coyotes,  wolves, foxes, cougars, dogs, bears, and sometimes even ravens or owls. In the Navajo cultures they are the skin walkers or ee naaldloosh. 

Very real, very malevolent beings with the ability to harm and bring misfortune to their victims. In these next two episodes we will be hearing people\'s experiences with these beings. Along with an interview of a native Navajo person, whose voice and identity has been hidden as it is forbidden to talk about these beings for fear of attracting them to you. My guest tells of their experiences growing up on the reservation at the foot of a grandmother who was a medicine woman and experiencing these beings in their life. 

Can you imagine not feeling safe in your own home? Not feeling safe enough to sleep in your own bed? Can you imagine sharing your home with entities and beings that continually torment and terrify you, making your days uncomfortable and your nights traumatic? Eventually forcing you out of your own home?

This episode is the true story shared with us all by my guest. Experiences that so traumatized her it had her questioning her sanity and concerned for her daughter\'s safety. My guest Belinda, lives in Australia and this is her true story.

Ghosts, spirits, hants, poltergiest, specters, all names for people that have died, but for one reason or another chose to remain around this realm of existence. Some do so because they have unfinished business. Some because they fear to move on, perhaps because of mistakes they made in this life, or how their life ended..... 

But, for whatever reason these beings remain they sometimes haunt the living, often creating fear and terror in those who experience them. In this episode we hear experiences of people just like you or I, who have been witnesses to such events. Some of these stories are touching. Some will definitely leave a chill up your spine.

Reincarnation.... Rebirth.... Soul Transmitigation.... Metempsychosis.... All words for a belief system that has been around pretty much since man was able to create records. But what is it precisely? Is it real? If it is, then what does it mean for us in this life? How would knowing this is real alter our day to day lives? Alter the way we interact and react with people around us everyday? 

In this episode we take a look at different belief systems in the world that subscribe to the notion of reincarnation as a basic tenant of their belief systems. We will also hear of children\'s reincarnation stories, particularly following the 911 tragedy. 

There are people who have died, often traumatically, but were able to be revived. Very often these people have unusual experiences before being revived. These are called Near Death Experiences (NDE). 

There are commonalities to these experiences, such as seeing the body laying there and watching medical personal working on it. Seeing huge tunnels of light. Seeing loved ones who have passed over and much more.

In this episode I explore this subject , we hear of people\'s experiences, including my own fathers. And interview a gentleman by the name of Ned Matinnia who runs a large Facebook group for NDE experiencers.

Shadow People. What are they? Where do they come from?  

Shadow people are a very common phenomenon, where people see these dark black, generally human shaped forms. 

Darker than the night around them. Some of these figures have glowing red, green, or yellow eyes. Some are seen wearing hats, or carrying something. Some are more solid than the wall they are in front of. Some have really whispy, foggy edges..... But what do they want from us? 

Join me as we explore the history, and myths around these beings and hear real experiences from people who have witnessed them for themselves. Myself included.
