Everyone has difficulties, transgressions, moments of doubt, darkness, and lows that come from within. I believe that in taking the time to reflect and understand what human nature is about we can come to terms with ourselves. Please note that I'm speaking from my experience just like anyone else would therefore it's imperative that you figure out your internal framework. It starts with you. And it's you vs you.

Customers are like plants. The more your pour into then and delight them in their experience with you, the more they give back in the long run. Extracting value by constantly selling, designing products for your selfish needs, and neglecting their needs all together will never be fruitful. And for that reason, I choose to be customer first.

Your intent matters. When you’re giving selflessly, it has great impact on your business and personal development. People have a remarkable way of sniffing out selfish sales driven tactics and for that reason alone, I desire to be in a place where I can be trusted. And I believe that you build trust in business and personal life by being selfless.

Make a decision and execute. If it fails, don't dwell. Think about it, learn from it, then make another decision.

With 2020 right around the corner, I use this episode to recap some of the things that I've done throughout the course of the year.

I had this epiphany today as I continue to dive more into producing meaningful marketing strategies for myself and future potential clients. After taking an hour this morning to speak to a potential client, to understand what their business and personal aspirations were, I was able to product a meaningful marketing strategy that was relevant towards getting more attention to the client's platform. In listening to their needs, I was able to isolate ways within the framework of producing picture, text, and audio that would support that general goal. We're all human, I hope! A part of being human is the fact that we're bounded by our thoughts and emotions. They're so powerful so much so that a thought has the power to redirect our entire perspective on a matter. We're all bound to feel a lack of motivation sometimes so the best way to deal with those moments however brief or long they are for you is to let those feelings flow and subside without over judging yourself.

Storytelling has always been apart of our core functioning as humans. We love the story of the underdog, the come up, and success and fame. We have stories codified on the Bible, in historical tales, mythologies that shape our psychi, and tales of our family history. At every corner of our lives, there's a story to uncover. That's why this is so powerful for our businesses. And I believe when the right story is told it can truly impact the number of sales we have as well as the experience we provide for your customers.

As I'm saddling up for the 5th year of this journey, I'm beginning to realize more the necessity of loving your process. That love is what has kept me consistent when there was no money coming in to fend for myself. That love was what kept me going when I'd have people flop on me, criticize my work as shitty, or when I was told that I need to get a "real job". I advocate for believing in yourself. It has the capability to impact every single one of our lives yet many people are selfish thinking about the amount of likes and comments they’re gonna secure with each post.
