Mary Magdalene and the other Mary arrived to Jesus’ tomb only to find His’ body missing. The earthquake beforehand and an angel waiting in the tomb caused them to be afraid. Maybe fear isn't the most unrealistic response. What would you have done in their place? How should we respond to Jesus’ empty tomb?

Jesus arrived in Jerusalem riding on a donkey to adoring crowds that covered the road with palms. Less than a week later those same crowds speed for Jesus’ execution. We may wonder how this can happen but only need to look at our own lives to see how difficult it is to live a life that truly worships Jesus as King. The Book of Mark teaches us how to live such a life.

Sometimes we receive advice that we don't expect. A young man met Jesus for advice on how to follow Christ. Jesus gave the man sooner unexpected advice that he was unable to follow. The Book of Mark teaches us for steps to receive everything we need from Jesus.

Many people devoutly collect autographs, whether it's from KC Royals player or Disneyland mascots. However there are some relationships that really matter. There is one relationship that is absolutely essential for all of eternity. We should do everything we can to be near Jesus. The Book of Mark tells us the story of a crippled man whose friends would do anything turn get closer to Jesus.

Things that seem impossible can come together if you take the time to plan things out. Jesus’ Resurrection was always Plan A and the result of God's cosmic plan. In the Book of Daniel, we get a glimpse of God's plan before execution.

Most of us haven’t experienced real persecution for being Christian in the United States but there are many across the world that have. Daniel and his friends, from the Bible also experienced tremendous persecution. Eventually Daniel was promoted to a position of authority which created enemies who plotted to trap him. However, when caught in the trap, Daniel turned to God who protected Daniel. We can count on God to deliver us from our persecution.

A quiet line of preschoolers turns into a rambunctious crowd when they arrive to a playground. Sometimes things don't always end up the way we planned and expected. Think kids fingerprinting. In the Book of Daniel we learn of the king's party that God turns on its head with His own fingerprinting.

Sometimes we find our live spiraling out of control. This may simply be from spending too much time with a game or may be due to a serious series of events. The book of Daniel discusses how King Nebuchadnessar's life spiraled out of control.
