Years ago I received a request to write an article for $50. This was back when I was working as a content writer cranking out dozens of articles a day. I took the job, sent off the article, and got the payment.
Even when I did that kind of work, I tried to insert my perspective into the piece. I’d follow the terms of the assignment, but any discerning reader could see I was advocating for universal healthcare and education. The only way we’re going to see big platforms advocate for humanity is if we trick them into publishing hidden messages.
A few weeks after I finished the job, I received an email from a reporter at the Washington Post. She was doing a story on foreign influence, and she was investigating the entity that had hired me. Suddenly, I was nervous.
“They just requested an article and I wrote it,” I said. “People approach me to write articles all the time.”
Nothing came of that, but it still left me a little hesitant to take jobs without vetting the source of the money. I think we all have to get bitten once before we really understand the danger.
I mention this story because I want people to understand who the true villains are. They’re not the independent journalists struggling to make a living. The villains are the well-funded entities that come along and offer the promise of payment and distribution, when really all they want to do is coerce good people into becoming cogs of a propaganda mechanism.
It happens a lot.
I stand by my journalist friends. I denounce the dark money funded publications that exploit them.
I’m not going to name names. I don’t have access to the financials of the big publications, and I don’t intend to go and look for them. The truth is, I don’t need it. I can tell which publications are PAC subsidized and which are not by the content they produce. You can tell which publications are foreign owned by the people they attack and the alternative perspectives they refuse to platform.
If anyone responds to this article by denouncing me, you have to take their accusation as a confession. We’re entering unprecedented times. The corrupt fascist regime has completely gutted the integrity of our country at every level. There’s no returning to the status quo at this point. The system is going to collapse. The men and women who have spent their lives lounging in ivory towers and chortling at the struggles of everyday people are starting to figure this out. They’re just awakening to panic mode, and the tactics they’ll be deploying against us are going to get desperate.
The big platforms always sacrifice the little people who do the work in order to save their own skin. Watch out.
The media has become a propaganda machine. This includes the book, film, and music industry. We’re not free. We’re only allowed to engage in topics that have been pre-approved so that there’s never any threat to the power structure.
Unfortunately, the curated list of acceptable talking points doesn’t contain any solutions, so things have gotten steadily worse.
We’ve all had a two-year crash course in narcissistic abuse. We’ve been constantly lied to. We’ve been constantly exploited. We’re fed up. The power of the spell our tormentors have cast over us is starting to fade. We’re becoming less focused on them. It’s as if we’re waking up from a fraud, taking a step back, and, for the first time, we’re collectively aware of the tactics of manipulation that have been deployed against us.
There are plenty of clues when you learn how to look.
We’ve all seen the creators who live in grand mansions and don’t have a care in the world. You can see the opulence in the background when they livestream. These are the people who offer classes for a couple hundred dollars so that you can “learn to have an online writing business like them.”
It’s tempting because, when you actually read their work, there’s nothing all that impressive. “Heck, I could write like that!” you think. “They must just know a couple tricks that they can tell me.”
Well, they know a couple tricks all right. The trick is that they’re propped up by a malicious, foreign-owned PAC designed to destroy our nation and subjugate the citizens. Just because they’re smiling, sitting in an immaculate room, and are dressed to the nines doesn’t mean that they aren’t an enemy.
Enemies often present themselves as friends, and they can be very convincing. This is how narcissism works.
There are a lot of creators who import massive subscriber lists. Not all of them. I never said all. But there are quite a few. Keep in mind that everything in the United States of America is a lie. Everything from our wealth to our history is misrepresented. This nation is a directionless adolescent without integrity and it shows. You just have to allow yourself to believe the truth.
You’ll notice there are some creators that demand to be treated with the absolute reverence of unquestionable authority. If you ask them for a clarification, not only will you be blocked, these creators will also attack you with such ferocity that it will leave you reeling. You’ll be hounded by hundreds of bots who will insult everything from your writing to your appearance. I’ve even seen good creators get driven from the platform.
That’s what the malicious entities that control our government want. They take charge of the narrative. They make sure that no competing voices can find a foothold. They’re gatekeepers and they’re effective at what they do. The only one that gets sacrificed is you.
The reason why these creators don’t seem to care if you subscribe to them or not is because they get their money elsewhere. This is why they never answer an email. This is why they can’t be bothered to even write “thank you” if you become a sponsor. They literally don’t care because the pledges only make up a tiny fraction of their total income.
They aren’t really getting money for their knowledge or their talent. They’re getting paid to spew propaganda. The only reason they’re on this platform is to steal sponsorships from writers who actually have integrity.
Again, once you recognize the characteristics, they’re easy to spot.
We’re living through a moment of political upheaval. On the one hand, we have the openly cruel and lawless Republicans. On the other hand, we have the complicit Democrats who are content to see the people abused as punishment for voting for the opposition. The system is designed to perpetually spin around those two entities.
But in the last two years a third player has entered the game. The people are fed up and they’re voting for new candidates. These anti-establishment candidates are winning primaries and the establishment does not like it.
You can’t expect a narcissist to put his hands in his pockets and say, “Well, I guess they rejected me.” Narcissists feel the ability to abuse is their entitlement. They’re going to push back and they’re going to use the most deceitful tactics possible.
I’ve been watching this happen and evolve over the last year.
I stumbled upon this malicious scheming entirely on accident. I just thought it would be a good idea to platform anti-establishment candidates to see what they were all about. I assumed that there would be big creators with journalistic integrity who would follow suit to amplify the new voices.
Guess what? There weren’t.
At first this frustrated me, then I realized the truth. The simple fact is that the majority of our system is beholden to the mechanism of corruption. These creators don’t have any talent. These creators don’t have integrity. They’re paid to spew propaganda.
We’ve seen how corrupt our politicians are. We’ve seen Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer provide just enough support and funding to the regime so that Republicans have been able to build concentration camps and a secret police. Jeffries and Schumer are quick to accuse everyone who disagrees with them of “antisemitism.” This narrative has been picked up even though there hasn’t been any evidence of an increase in antisemitic violence. It’s just a narrative designed to silence the opposition.
There has been an increase in the murder of Black people and Latino people. For years, it’s been common knowledge that white supremacy and neo-nazi groups have infiltrated law enforcement. Yet Schumer and Jeffries, despite the fact that they claim they denounce antisemitism, refuse to even discuss police reform.
There is a strong argument to be made that the only people who are truly guilty of antisemitism are the AIPAC funded politicians and media. I’ve been posing this thought for a while and it doesn’t get any traction. That’s because our media is corrupt and it refuses to even engage ideas that it wants to suppress.
Over the last two years, independent media has had the opportunity to elevate a whole new generation of politicians. For the most part, they’ve completely rejected this opportunity. A clear bit of evidence to see who is sincere is to check whether publications have platformed alternative viewpoints.
Once you start to look for it, you can see which creators are committed to baseless smear campaigns. These are the ones who denounce somebody with a label without ever providing proof of wrongdoing. They’ll misrepresent statements by taking words out of context or paraphrasing.
We’ve all seen radical right wing journalism do that, but we have to be aware that many of the publications that claim to be on the left are doing it as well. They’re frauds.
Now, there are plenty of legitimate publications that don’t interview political candidates. That’s just not in the wheelhouse for some people. That’s fine. There are also publications that interview somebody here and there, but who aren’t sincere. Anti-establishment candidates start to become a traffic draw when they reach a certain inflection point for momentum. As always, the corrupt publications will be there to redirect the flow of the narrative.
They aren’t really helping.
We all need to be more discerning consumers of information. We need to develop our critical thinking skills. We have to stop listening to the pressure and power of authority, and start listening to the little voice in the back of our minds that says, “I don’t like when I engage with this creator. This creator makes me afraid. I don’t want to say something in the comments that they misinterpret and use to attack me.”
Don’t engage with people who hurt you. You’d think that would be easy advice to adopt, but these cruel people are very good at abusing us. They’re also good at turning us against each other.
In addition to the creators who are directly funded by foreign money, there is another army of people who have just been duped by proximity to power. They’ve taken the AIPAC funded creators at face value.
“That person is a great journalist. What other explanation is there for their wealth and power? If I follow them and repeat everything they say, I’ll gain approval. Then they’ll lift me up and teach me to be like them.”
One word for this is sycophant.
The other word for this is duped.
I get that it’s tempting right now. We’re all the targets of economic terrorism. That makes us easy to manipulate. Again, your enemy doesn’t always come goose stepping into your house bearing a gun and wearing a mask. Sometimes your enemy presents himself with a smile and seems to be offering the solution to all your problems.
The saddest part for me is how cheaply some people are willing to sell their integrity. They’ll have somebody who gives them a $200 sponsorship, and they become so eager to please that sponsor that they’re willing to self-censor. Their appreciation becomes indistinguishable from adulation. When the sponsor starts in with a smear narrative, the creator picks it up without verifying the evidence on their own.
Money doesn’t trickle down, but hate and lies do. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen manipulation narratives blow through our community and drive allies apart. It’s happened again and again and it’s going to continue to happen until the general public learns to turn its back on the deceivers.
Once you see the signs, you can’t unsee them. We all recognize the number of celebrity journalists out there who don’t have a whisp of talent. It’s the same as the political figures like Majorie Taylor Greene, or RFK Jr., or Pete Hegseth, or the president himself. They don’t belong where they are. They haven’t earned it. Some malicious entity put them in a position of power.
The same is true with the media. Joe Rogan is the most uninteresting and uniformed person in the world. He’s been manufactured. It wasn’t talent that shoved him into the faces of our children, it was corruption. It’s obvious. The system doesn’t work as you imagine it to work. There’s no merit in America at all. It’s all a propaganda model designed to gatekeep truth and elevate a narrative.
You knew this already.
I’ve turned away founding sponsors because they started pressuring me to spew their corruption narratives. I won’t do that. I’m too old at this point and I’m too stubborn. In fact, I don’t even look at my metrics. I’ve turned off all my data because I don’t want to be influenced against saying what the evidence suggests is the truth.
Lately, I’ve had a lot more clarity of purpose. For all of my life, I’ve wrestled with self-doubt. You can’t help it. We see all these dazzling creators sitting in mansions who lecture us about how to be like them and promise to sell us the answer for only a thousand dollars a month. I’ve never been able to afford that, and I wouldn’t have paid it if I could. But now I know the truth.
They’re frauds. They’re not paid by grassroots supporters who truly believe in them. They’re paid by malicious corporate entities or foreign governments as part of an overarching structure of abuse.
But that structure is coming down, and they know it. This is why their arguments are getting more desperate. This is why their responses are getting more hostile. This is why their tactics have become more deceitful.
The structure is coming down. In the end, they’re only going to hasten the collapse. They’re desperate to keep it up because deep down they know they have no talent, but they’re so inept all they can do is hasten the demise.
Do not weep for them. It will be a good thing for all of humanity when the false counselors have been deprived of their platforms. In fact, you can help out by withdrawing your support from the large creators and make the deliberate choice to help out the smaller voices instead.
We need an anti-establishment movement both in politics and the media. Anyone who says otherwise is carrying water for the establishment. You know how that story ends. Aren’t you sick of being abused?
Wealth, power, and celebrity are not symbols of integrity. We have to stop being dazzled by the mansions and the perfect hair. Those people are cruel and hollow and listening to their lies makes you sick.
Support the people who answer your questions. Support the people who provide you with a bit of comfort. Stop believing you have some sort of obligation to chase fame and fortune. That’s the essence of the American lie.
Money can’t buy you happiness. Those that sell their integrity and end up pushing false narratives for profit will end up alone, insignificant, and miserable. We all have to learn to shift our focus to the simple pursuit of truth, even when that truth threatens people of privilege. In the long run, it feels so much better.
