After a long Christmas and New Years seeing through the last chaotic posts of 2020, we have entered a new year of posting- and it hasn't disappointed. In this episode, we talk about what the "Beans Dad" discourse hitting the mainstream news tells us about the future of 'viral content' and the end of niche, subcultural posting formats. And then we talk about some special posts of the first week of January, including Azalea Banks digging up her dead cat and making it into soup, and the Scottish radio DJ who thinks that string, and by extension, curves, are too sexy and should be banned (I agree!). All of which is to say, 2021 is already shaping up to be an extraordinary year for posting.

----more----We support the London Renters Union, which helps people defeat their slumlords and avoid eviction. If you want to support them as well, you can here: https://londonrentersunion.org/donate
