Have you ever felt like flying away just to get away from all troubles, and problems, and temptation? Has life ever been such a burden that all you can think about is escaping? David felt like that one day. That’s why he wrote, “... That I had wings like a dove! For then I would fly away and be at rest” (v.6).
All of us have felt like getting away from problems. But it is not a good solution to any problem. We usually take our problems with us. Sometimes when we tried to run away, we will only make the problem worse.
Why does the Lord allow us to go through windy storms and tempests? God allows trials to make/help us grow and mature and become like His Son. Isaiah 40:31 encourage us “... they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;” The eagle faces the storm, spreads his great wings and allows the wind to lift him above the storm.
Don’t run away. Run to the Lord, and let Him left you high above the storm.
