Examples of standing on the truth of God with boldness are all over Scripture but they are especially prominent in the book of Acts. The early chapters of Acts are stuffed full of standing steadfast in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not budging from confessing His name. Paul instructs and exhorts Timothy in his second letter to "Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season." Deeper than Paul to Timothy this is a call of Jesus to those He loves and brought to Himself to be prepared with the truth of Himself and be ready in any circumstance to share the Gospel. Are we heeding the call of Christ in our hearts that is growing more fervent with each day to proclaim Him as the Day draws nearer?

Join Jacob this week as he kicks-off a new series! The Confess Him series is coming from a place of conviction in Jacob's life as he desires to grow in becoming a bolder proclaimer of the truth of Christ and His life.

Jesus is so worthy of our bold confession of Him and His truth! Even when we feel out of place or possibly embarrassed when the knock of the Holy Spirit comes to confess our heart for Christ that is the time for us to stake our claim with confidence. It is in the weakness and disbelief in our own strength that Jesus has the greatest ability to work through us if we choose to be obedient and trust Him!

Would a reflection of our daily life portray us as being a creature of Heaven or a creature of Hell? Do our desires and tastes correspond with the things of Heaven or things more comparable to Hell? Is our heart in a consistent posture of surrender and obedience to Jesus or is it ruled by a prideful rebellion bent towards the flesh?

These are questions and comparisons that arose as Jacob has been reading through Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. This week join Jacob as he compares and examines the similarities between the men of God Ezra, Daniel, and Nehemiah. Each one of these men experienced the hand of God upon their lives and upon their hearts to be set-apart for the work God had for them to accomplish.

Ezra, Daniel, and Nehemiah all led from a heart of conviction and humility before the Lord and hope for the restoration of God's chosen nation and are models for how we as Christians should be striving with zeal for the building of Christ's kingdom and His chosen people today!

Revelation is an amazing book of Scripture that describes many great and terrible things to come. The focus of the book, however, is on one particular great and terrible (terrible in the sense of awesome power and glory) person yet to come...Jesus Christ!

Revelation has incredible descriptions and praises of who the God we serve is and His magnificence that will be revealed to all peoples and nations. As Christians we have the ability to live in daily communion with this beyond comparable Savior Jesus Christ! Does our life reflect the reality of this God who not only lives in us but is one day coming in the fullness of His splendor and glory?
