Defiled with Blood brings us to Isaiah’s Prophetic Book part one hundred and eighty-eight on Battle lines. In the beginning of the book, we understood being defiled with blood. This occurred when Cain slew Abel. You can never get away from the blood guilt that happens when the children of men murder someone. In America today we have many murders daily on a national level. We have wars. What modern man does not pay attention to, is the shedding of blood and the shedding of innocent blood. The price of that blood is high. Then we have the Blood of the covenant wherein man is redeemed by the shedding of the Son of God on Calvary. Make no mistake here being defiled with blood brings God’s judgment very quickly.

Defiled with Blood lands in a context of verses in Isaiah fifty-nine verses three through seven. There are many #evil things the #Lord calls out against #Judah, but those who have #blood on their hands from #murder are called out here. When the #sheddingofblood reaches a certain point, that #blooddefiles the land. The shedding of #innocentblood is part of the entire #law of dealing with blood in many different aspects. Yet the #pursuittokill, that is #murder someone who is innocent is blood guilt. There were special laws for the #revengerofblood, #citiesofrefuge for someone who shed blood by accident. But a staunch warning for Israel by purposely shedding blood. This shedding of blood applies to all nations. It will be judged on the day man comes before the #LordGod for his works.
