• The company will host its annual shareholder event on Friday. Investors are likely to hear about the event later this week; however, remember annual shareholder meetings are rarely market-moving news catalysts.
• Salesforce.com (CRM) - A play on generative artificial intelligence (AI). On Tuesday, the company announced the launch of Einstein GPT, "the world's first generative AI for customer relationship management."
• Occidental Petroleum (OXY) - Shares were up modestly following news Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway purchased around 5 million additional shares in Occidental. The firm's total position in Occidental is now over 200 million shares, or about 22% of total shares.
• Manpower (MAN) - A provider of staffing services. Automatic Data Processing (ADP) reported private-sector payrolls for the month of February totaled 242,000 jobs, better than the 200,000 estimate from economists.
• Beyond Meat (BYND) - A play on meat prices. A report late last month suggested cattle herds in the United States were down about 4% year over year to the lowest level since 1962. If meat prices rise due to the low cattle count, Beyond Meat could be a beneficiary of this trend.
