  • Podcast Interview with USMC Veteran Dave Therrien
A little about me, I am a marine corps veteran from 05 to 09. A past commander for my local V.F.W. I  recently have been awarded with Mission 22 ambassador of the month.   I wanted to start a podcast that will showcase what it truly takes and means to be a veteran these days. As many know every veteran goes through months of training to do their job in uniform. When its time to EAS they only get a few weeks at best to rejoin the civilian life. Unfortunately this is the time we lose some of our 22 a day. Our veterans and Servicemembers over time have put a stigma on reaching out for help in their time of need. So that's where I got the idea of starting a podcast.
Each episode I have a new guest who talks about their life before, during and after the military. Most veterans miss the camaraderie and some veterans never find it again. I like talking to other veterans who battle these feelings and how they over come it. The last part of my show I talk about the 22 a day. I open up to my guest about how I won that fight myself and hit that reset button on life.

  • Podcast Interview with USMC Combat Veteran Ben Martin
“Ben served as an Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) crewman with the 7th Marine regiment out of 29 Palms, CA. In 2003 Ben participated in the invasion of Iraq with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines. In 2004 and 2005 Ben deployed with the 31st MEU (SOC) out of Okinawa, Japan.

After his enlistment, Ben enrolled in to college and studied writing, web design, and branding between Portland Community College, Pacific University, and the Art Institute of Portland. In between classes he found a passion for small business, which propelled him into agency work and brand management.

In 2012 Ben helped launch a pilot non-profit aimed at rehabilitating veterans through permaculture. This program showed promise that agriculture can be an alternative treatment for Veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI. Looking for inspiration he found that the French Foreign Legion houses over 100 aging Legionaries on a vineyard chateau where they grow grapes, make wine, and find peace. Ben wondered – "Why not here?"

It wasn't until February 2014 that the idea of veteran viticulture re-emerged during a Walla-Walla wine trip with co-founders Ryan Mills and Paul Warmbier. Excited about the possibilities, the three launched Dauntless Wine Company that December!

On May 18th, 2017 Ben was awarded the Wine Studies "Emerging Leader" award for his efforts launching Dauntless Wine Company while attending the program. And in 2018 Ben graduated from the Chemeketa Wine Studies with an AAS in both winemaking and vineyard management.”

  • Interview with Army combat veteran and actor Juston Graber
Bred, born, and raised in Buffalo, NY - Juston joined the Army at the young age of 17 after convincing his parents to sign the consent form in 2003 - post 9/11.
After his short, eight year military stint with four back-to-back combat deployments, Juston painstakingly dove head-first into theatre training. Beginning his journey at the Savannah College of Art and Design and eventually ending up at the University of Southern California where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. Juston is probably best known as a YouTube sidekick to Drew Anthony's "A Combat Veteran" but Juston doesn't confine himself nor his talents to just comedy. He has acted in various genres to include suspense/thriller, drama, and horror. Juston and Drew partnered to form Anthony Roy Productions where their more serious pieces can be found as they write and produce short films as proof of concepts. Their first ever short-film, "Orisha" was completed late 2019 to run the 2020 film festival gauntlet where it earned awards for Best Horror, Best Short, and even snagged Juston a Best Actor nomination.
