The Whiskey Sour

2 ounces bourbon

3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed

1/2 ounce simple syrup

1/2 ounce egg white (optional)

Garnish: Angostura bitters

Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white, if using, to a shaker and dry-shake for 30 seconds without ice.

Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.

Strain into a rocks glass or a coupe.

Garnish with 3 or 4 drops of Angostura bitters.

Frozen Tequila Sunrise Margarita

4 c. orange juice

 

4 oz. silver tequila

 

2 oz. triple sec

 

2 tbsp. lime juice

 

4 oz. grenadine, divided

 

Orange slices and Maraschino cherries for garnish

 

 Fill ice cube trays with orange juice and freeze until solid, 3 to 4 hours.

When orange juice cubes are frozen, combine with tequila, triple sec, and lime juice in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Pour 1 oz grenadine to the bottom of each glass, then fill each with blended drink.

Garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry and serve.
