Part 1 of 2. We often don’t pray persistently because we give up too quickly. We pray 2-3 times and when we don’t get and answer, we quit. That is the influence of our ‘instant gratification’ society upon us. God challenges us in Daniel 10 to have persistent prayer. Join us as we look at why God wants us to reach out to Him over and over again.

Most people believe that God answers prayer, but what is ironic is that we often do not pray as often as we should. Today we look at how a righteous man from the Old Testament prayed and we learn from him, “how to pray”.

Fear, doubt, concern are all things that keep us from moving forward and walking in faith. Today we look at the Exodus out of Egypt and the 40 years in the desert. We look at how similar we are to those people sometimes and how to get out of the temptation to not trust God and move forward.

We live in crazy times, but this is not the first time the Christian church has been challenged.  We look at Jesus's example in the gospel of Luke of being steadfast in His purpose and apply that steadfastness to our lives.  In a crazy world of anxiety, fear, and worry, Jesus calls us to something much different, to be counter-culture, to live in His example.  This message is challenging and encouraging.  May God bless you as you listen.

We must take sin seriously, longing to please our Redeemer and fearing his discipline as we focus on our mission, doing nothing to detract from its effectiveness.
