It's been a while between drinks, but Cecilia decides to be the enabler to get this show back on track. We break out a 2014 Higher Plan Chardonnay Reserve to celebrate and use Merrick Watts' food pairing recommendation, then embark on one of our own.

We try Nick Offerman's second release of Lagavulin.

We locate a long-spurned dram and drag in some old friends to try with the Coca Cola Signature Mixers we were kindly gifted from The After Dark Network’s Nic Branch.  It gets a bit mad-scientist in the studio as we take our taste buds on this journey.

We’re not huge drinkers of whisky with an ‘e’, but Kat is joined by Lewis again to try something old and something new…Bond and Lillard Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whisky thanks to the lovely bitter folks at Campari, alongside something that started a century later here in Western Australia, with Whipper Snapper’s Upshot toasted virgin French oak.

Katherine shares her Birthday Dram (Laphroaig Quarter Cask) with Lewis and pulls out a saved dram of the Laphroaig 18 Year Old to compare.  In true tribute to Tangent City, we find a tie in to The Good Place The Podcast and Kat’s ambitions to create The Good Place The Podcast, The Podcast.

Lewis joins Kat to drink drams from his birthday bottles.

Lewis breathes some life back into this podcast with a lager, a hazy IPA and a fruit milkshake IPA.
