On this Quick Take we give a little Quarantine update on how we've been doing, how we've been dealing with staying at home, and what movies we've been watching. Along with that we talk about the recent Universal vs. AMC Theaters news that have been going out, which we will update later on in the future with the recent news that has surfaced. We also talk about movies we've been watching, along with a little taste of what are future episodes will entail. We all hope you're all doing well at there mentally/physically/financially during this turbulent time. The Scream Franchise: Scream 2 & How Sequels Hold Up⁠

The second movie from the Scream franchise; Scream 2 proves itself to be a great film in its own right even if it is a sequel. Sidney, Gail, Randy, and Dewey are back at it again as they take on a new killer that has been freaking out the city and the college that they attend. Scream 2 goes into depth on how sequels are treated and looked at, we also look into different sequels and how they affect their own franchise. ⁠

Do sequels suck? What are some sequels you can think of that are better or as good as their original?⁠

The winner of Best Screenplay at Cannes Film Festival, Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a unique love story, directed by Celine Sciamma. This film is an artwork in itself on how everything was filmed, the relationship that was formed, and the overall feel that the movie gives you once its over. On our first episode of four, we start the Scream franchise. We talk about how the first Scream movie & Scream series altogether, broke the rules of horror movies and reinvented them. The meta and self-awareness of the first Scream film broke boundaries in the satirical commentary of how most horror movies are made and filmed. Wes Craven hit it out of the park with this one.⁠
