Since the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) issued a recent report on the expanding ecosystems of digital platform service providers as part of its five-year Digital Platform Services Inquiry, Shaun and Sonia discuss some of the strategies available to digital platforms to “lock-in” consumers, including bundling, self-preferencing and pre-installation,  all of which have attracted the ACCC's attention.
