The Small Council of Tim and Mike discuss episodes 3 and 4 of House of the Dragon Season 2: The Burning Mill & The Red Dragon and the Gold.

Tim and Mike discuss the first two episodes of House of the Dragon season two. They cover various plot points, including the introduction of new characters, the dynamics between the Targaryens and the Greens, and the brewing conflict between Damon and Rhaenyra. The conversation also touches on the new opening credits, the dislike for certain characters, and, of course, small council balls.

In this episode of 'Watchers on the Thinking Couch,' hosts Daddy Tim and Uncle Mike embark on a humorous and insightful discussion about the children's show 'Blue's Clues' and its impact on both kids and parents alike. Expanding beyond just a review, they delve into the peculiarities of the show's storyline, including the introduction of new host Josh, the curious living situation of previous hosts, and how Blue's Clues seems to recycle old plots with new settings. They touch upon the afterlife theories, the potentially haunted house, and the show's approach to continuity with its hosts and characters. The conversation also shifts to consider how children's television content consumption has evolved with streaming, noting personal anecdotes and the challenge of dealing with repetitive content as parents. Additionally, they briefly explore other children's shows and propose the idea of starting a dad-themed podcast, all while humorously navigating through the world of being parents who are deeply entrenched in children's programming.
