Crypto crashed across the board. BTC broke below $66K. A $14B options expiry wiped out 122,000+ traders. For the first time in 2026, BTC, ETH, and SOL spot ETFs all saw outflows on the same day. HYPE was the only token standing in the green.
Tech stocks took a beating. MSFT -3.7%, NVDA -9%, AVGO -7% on AI disruption fears. Meanwhile GEV, CATL, and NET bucked the trend. Tesla continues to bleed from the anti-Musk backlash.
Global indices split in two. Thailand's SET is up ~7% YTD, ranked 3rd in Asia. India's SENSEX dropped 12% from its high — crushed by soaring oil import costs. Nasdaq entered correction territory.
FX & Commodities told the same story. DXY rallied for 3 straight sessions. Markets are now pricing in a possible Fed rate hike by year-end — a full 180° flip from the two cuts expected earlier. Gold sold off short-term as institutions covered margin calls, but JPMorgan's 2026 target stays at $6,300.
One theme ruled everything this week: strong dollar, expensive oil.
