As the Church gathers to celebrate the good news of Christ’s resurrection, we are reminded of the dual nature of Easter’s invitation and warning. Rather than seeking satisfaction in the fleeting things of this world, Tyler Briggs leads us to sit in and savor the riches of our salvation in Christ— past, present, and future.

Before Christ sends them out, He draws them in to experience the fullness of fellowship with Him. Likewise, our Savior graciously invites us to delight in Him and participate in the greatest mission possible— the mission of God.
This week our sermon series The Gospel of Luke, Part II: A Journey through Galilee highlights the gift of the Sabbath from God to His people throughout the Scriptures. In Christ, we now understand and experience the Sabbath not as merely a day, but a person. The right response to such a gracious invitation is to intentionally draw near to our Savior, in order to delight in Him and receive the satisfaction and restoration that He alone offers.
