God offered Daniel a glimpse at the future ? a greater understanding of His plan for the nation of Israel and the Church. Today, God uses prophecy to prepare us for what is to come and God uses His people to accomplish His plan. But we have to unpack His Word and be in prayer before we can fully be used for His glory! The king prior to God?s discipline is filled with pride but we find afterward a humility and holiness that is not only attractive, but brings glory to God and rest to the king. The same is true for us if we will receive His discipline, repent of our pride and rejoice in the holiness it brings us.
