So how do W.E. listen as a people of God?

Rediscover God as our lovely and loving friend (Matt. 17:7-8).

This means when you hear the questions “What is God saying to you?” also means “What is your dear Friend saying to you?”

This reality can ready the ears (and heart) a bit more…

Jesus (the Son of Man) will reward each person according to what they have done.

Well, what is our reward?

God.

One another.

The ability to serve.

A meal among friends.

What else is there?

Belonging.

Love.

Do we need more?

Jesus: For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it (Matt. 16:25).

What happens when we “write others off”?

We miss…

…God’s greatest teachings.

…moments of great faith.

…her/his sacred being.

Seeking to get away to grieve, our Lord witnesses the grief of others. He creates a “fellowship of suffering.” Through compassion, Jesus makes himself available for others.

Then, our God feeds them. Everyone has their fill.

What can you give up in order to offer yourself to God/ others? Let's listen...

Your life is designed to be God’s good and reproductive work that God is carrying to completion. This is cause for hope and celebration. God’s hand in your life is worth sharing with others.

If you have no care, concern or desire of what God has done or is presently up to in your life, WE lovingly invite you to consider the overall soil of your life, receive the true living Jesus offers and join the party.

Le's reflect on one of the most important parables of Jesus (Matt. 13:1-23).

As we live in Christ, we live in light of God being with us, in us. Like Moses, we can take off our shoes in order to revere the God of our everyday and every place.

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground” (Ex. 3:5).

Let's take off our shoes and enjoy!

How do respond to the inevitable rejection that comes with sharing about God, Jesus and faith and church?

Jesus told his disciples to say… “The Kingdom of heaven has come near” (Matt. 10:7).

There are so many ways to say this phrase:

God saves.

Christ is Lord.

Jesus loves us.

God loves loving you.

The Holy Spirit is near.

With the Lord, even my bad days are good days.

Just say something… and learn from it. Then, try again.

In a world that seeks to rest (or really crash) from work, WE must live from a deep, healing place of God's rest. WE cannot reflect the character and priorities of Jesus if we don't first find our home in his gentle rhythms (Matt. 11:28-30). To be clear, this doesn't mean we "kill time"; instead WE delight with the Lord in holy leisure.
