The Word-Centered Life (ie. Evangelical Tradition/ Stream) keeps us anchored to the Living Christ and the authority of Scripture.

This life means to BE in relationship with and GROW in relationship with God. This life means becoming like Christ, which means living for the sake of others.

How does it start? How does it continue?

Rows vs. Circles. Experiences are found when you sit in a row. Homes are found when you gather around a circle.

No doubt, Jesus taught to crowds. Sitting in lectures IS a practical modern concept. But Jesus’ teachings were always designed to bring people into closer intimate spaces. Thus, W.E. prefer circles versus rows, a church home as compared to a church experience.

But what does a home provide that an experience does not?

Jesus’ parable of the sower might be less about the condition of our hearts

and more about the extravagance of our Heavenly Sower. 🌱

This God throws seed everywhere.

Non-coercive.

Seemingly wasteful.

Generous, uncontrolling, hopeful.

Pay attention to this God.

Take heart in this God—

who trusts His work in you and in me.

Leadership requires following. Following requires SOME form submission. Yet, the very word “Submission” evokes injustice, domination, potential abuse and… in the very least a lack of freedom/ autonomy.

Thus... what does it require to submit to leadership? What is required of the leader?

And what is required of the follower?

W.E. are named after the place of rest and deep formation where divine grace meets human action.

Listen to a wonder-filled message that creates appropriate space to hear from the Living God.

God forms us when our obedience comes before the parting of the waters.

At the Red Sea (Exodus 15), God moved the waters before the people entered.
 They were trapped.
 They were powerless.
 They were being rescued.

That was grace.

But at the Jordan River (Joshua 3), God is doing something different.

No enemy is chasing them.


The promise is in front of them. 


And God waits for them. 

What is a step of faith is God inviting/ challenging/ calling you to take… even though the outcome may not seem entirely clear?

We’re back in the habit—returning to the Good Word that keeps pointing us to Jesus.

This week we were reminded that disciples don’t grow through chronic activity, but by living daily in the steady stream of Scripture.

God’s Word grounds our worldview, shapes our obedience, and carries us into real seasons of fruitfulness.

There was a quiet but clear invitation to slow down, stay rooted, and let the Bible do its deep work in us again.

Slow down, and step into the story of Jesus' birth... Not as observers but as participants.

May our church rest in the vulnerability of God's arrival and makes room for Him... and one another.

Light finds its greatest contrast against dark textures. And so often, we come to Jesus—the Lord of Light— when we find ourselves in the darkest corners.

Most of us grip Jesus more tightly in the dark. Not because the light is absent,

but because we finally notice how much we need it.
