Today we wrap up our series in the book of Proverbs. Today we go back to the beginning and go full circle to the beginning of Proverbs and wrap up everything we've talked about. Most people would say that ignorance isn't bliss. And yet, so many of us choose ignorance over wisdom. But we have a great God. And just as wisdom says "If you had only asked", so God's Word says "I will draw near to those who draw near to Me."

1. Work Hard, Be Motivated

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty. (28:19)

2. Work Hard, Be Disciplined

Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty;

open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread. (20:13)

As a door turns on its hinges,

so a sluggard turns on his bed. (26:14)

The sluggard buries his hand in the dish;

he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth. (26:15)

3. Work Hard, Be Honest

A greedy man brings trouble to his family,

but he who hates bribes will live. (15:27)

4. Work Smart, Bless Those Who Love You

He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise. (11:29)

5. Work Smart, Keep Proper Priorities

Do not wear yourself out to get rich;

have the wisdom to show restraint.

Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings

and fly off to the sky like an eagle. (23:4-5)

6. Work Smart, Plan Ahead

A sluggard does not plow in season;

so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing. (20:4)

As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes,
