Gender Based violence is described as
physical, sexual and psychological violence occurring in the family [and in the community], including battery, sexual abuse of female children ..., dowry- related violence, marital rape, female genital mutilation and other traditional practices harmful to women, non- spousal violence and violence related to exploitation ... sexual harassment and intimidation at work, in educational institutions and elsewhere, trafficking in women and forced prostitution ... and violence ... perpetrated or condoned by the state - ACCORDING TO THE UN declaration on the elimination of Violence against Women.
this has been an issue that occurs in many different environments and social settings and unfortunately has gone on far too long.
In this episode, we look to further the message and contribute to the movement. By presenting this information to you and bringing you different voices, the intention is to create a picture of the situation at hand, and to inspire and create a sense of responsibility among men.
Here with this podcast it is understood that one upload may not result in the overhauling changes in the country, but it is the beginning and is a way in which I believe we can create a new culture and path for those coming after us, and benefit the future generations through shared vision.
