In Luke 2:1-7, we see for the first time, the physical display of God’s perfect gift of love for mankind. Gifts of love are thought out, they’re done to the best of the giver’s ability, and they’re are given so that the recipient would benefit. God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ is perfectly thought out, it is executed to perfection, and it perfectly fits the needs of all mankind.

As we begin this Advent season we look at the true meaning of hope. Hope is not merely optimism. Hope is keeping faith that Gods will prevail while we recognize our current circumstances. Why is this important for us to realize? As we dive into Psalm 62 we see why this idea of hope is necessary for us to fully trust in God.

During the Thanksgiving season we are supposed to be thankful; but for many, this expectation is as hard to swallow as burnt turkey. How can we be thankful when it’s hard to find things to be thankful for? In this week’s sermon we dive into 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 to see how we can always be thankful.

As Paul unofficially concludes his first letter to the Corinthians, he provides this charge to hold the line. This is the overflow of our love and devotion to the One that has defeated death.

As Paul begins his first letter to the church in Corinth, he reminds them of the good gifts that God has given them. In 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 we see the gift of God even considering us to be recipients of a gift from Him, the gift of our testimony, the gift of our spiritual gifts, and the gift of sanctification.

In Galatians 4, Paul reminds the Galatians of who they were when he first met them and asks an important question prevalent for all believers today: “What Happened?” We all change. That is a fact. But will your change be to press on toward the goal of Christ, or will it be a regression in your Christian walk?

In Galatians 3, as the Jewish leaders in the region started using charm and deceit as means to appeal to the Galatians, Paul reminded the church to not be duped by the false gospel, but instead to lean on their faith in Christ alone.

In Galatians 1 Paul begins this letter to the churches in the region of Galatia with an affirmation of who he was and what he preached. There were rumors and accusations swirling around him and his ministry; so to put all that to rest, he gave a definitive statement of who he was and also gave us the template to answer the question: “Who Are You?”
