The über-collector Black Vinyl Junky shares some incredibly rare modern soul, fusion, jazz, soul, and funk from his infamous crates. We follow Takayuki's selections with tracks that had us turning up the monitor's to 11 and starting an impromptu jazz dance session. Heavy.

For the first hour Waxing Deep belatedly celebrates Carnaval with classic Brazilian party tunes, new and old. After a brief homage to the late Ray Barretto, hour two explores the funky part of the Areito catalogue and gets very deep indeed.

This episode begins with heavy head nodding beats from Grusin, Axelrod, and Gainsbourg, continues with funky Italian prog, delves into deep spiritual jazz (sublime!), explordes some Canadian lounge, scat, and even manages some bollywood and a little jesus freak psych. Great show!
