Nobody likes when words are put into our mouths. Words that are false lead to misperceptions and could have tragic circumstances. To be fight ready, we must know God’s word, not allowing anything to sway our decisions to follow him. However, we must first have His word in our memories.

Fighters spend months training for what amounts to a 12 rounds of a fight. It the preparation that is unseen that determines the victory or loss that becomes visible. In the first installment of the series, Fight Ready, we’ll learn the rewards that come from spiritual routines.

Our paparazzi culture even frenzies itself to get a glimpse of celebrities. In this installment we find out that those who go out on a limb for Jesus get to see exactly why He came Down to Earth.

One of the greatest reasons Jesus came was to show us how we are to come into various contexts, as servants. In a season that is focused on us becoming slaves to debt and the tyranny of hectic schedules, what if we came in this season as a servant? From his birth and earthly ministry we see a 'riches to rags' story that those that have rags (including our righteousness) could experience the riches of His glory.

The foundation for many of us in life is trying to acquire things that make us feel safer, more confident and provide pleasure that we hope is long lasting. This often is not the case because we over invest our surplus into things that are no substitute for a relationship with God. What would it look like if we gave our total selves to God and said, “You can have all of me?”

Change is difficult. Change is heavy. Change can be uncomfortable to carry and more often than not we let go of it to make our lives feel easier. But...when we keep the change God uses it as currency to enhance His kingdom.

In a culture rife with self service stations there is a threat to churches replicating this culture. Churches are supposed to “serve others” and this message explores what happens when everyday people get a "others - oriented" partnership with God to see amazing things happen.

In or out. Up or down. Sweet or salty. Hot or cold. When it comes to life we often like the clarity of an absolute especially when it comes to the temperature of something. Most of us have a healthy disregard for things that are lukewarm. Not shockingly, God definitely has a distaste for lukewarm things especially when it comes to His church. This week’s message is a temperature check on your relationship with Christ.

We can not experience the best of God without each other. In a culture of hyper-individualism we need a group of friends moving together in the same spiritual trajectory to get fit spiritually.
