Many followers of Jesus have challenges understanding the role of the Holy Spirit in the church and in their day-to-day lives. When it comes to the gifts of the Holy Spirit believers may feel like they are in a foreign territory with the discomfort of a tourist trying to read directional signs in a language they’ve never learned.  What if these gifts could be better understood so that they were not under-experienced in our lives and our church?

Understanding The Gifts of the Spirit is a Rosetta Stone series of sorts to help us understand the unique skills and abilities given by the Holy Spirit to committed followers of Jesus to serve God for the blessing and benefit of the church. Sometimes it seems like the gifts of the Spirit don't operate in the modern church. This message unpacks why that may be true and it could have something to do with the church missing a "battery".
