Hunter Bland was a college bass fisherman who has recently moved into being a Bass Fishing Coach. We learned a little about Hunter a few weeks ago when he was on the podcast with the whole Florida Gateway College team. Hunter achieve some notoriety, but not in the most desirable way. He was ejected out of his boat due to a freak accident and he was lucky enough to not get run over by any boats, and he was wearing his lifejacket so he made it out ok. But now Hunter is using that experience to travel around and educate people on water safety.

In todays show we cover an article written in American Hunter on the Mass Exodus of Hunters leaving CA. Shoutout to Matt from High Prairie Sportsmen for sending it over. Over 44,000 hunters quit the field in 2019...Why? Because Ca implemented SB 1235 on July 1, 2019. It has devastated license sales, ammo companies and most important, the hunter. We talk about how this law has affected the hunter CA but also how it will affect hunters in all states.

The Heritage Craft Butchers didn't learn to cut meat in the super market.

They learned in a barn.

Cutting up their own home grown pigs, and curing the meat in an old refrigerator, the guys decided they would try to follow their passion and start a butcher shop.

They found an old bank in the middle of Pennsylvania farm country. Perfect.

Lots of elbow grease, experimenting with old world recipes, and bourbon, and here they are running a successful butcher business from scratch.

My visit to Charleston gave me the perfect opportunity to sit down with the president of Zman Fishing Products, Daniel Nussbaum, and ask him some candid questions about the brand. For instance, why does the ElaZtech material you build baits with offer anglers a distinct advantage over the competition. I also got some jocular insights about some of the pro’s that make up the All-Star team at Zman Fishing. Plus, what’s next for the brand as we move into the new year?
