Old school fishing legend Tom Greene sits down with me to go over old times and fishing stories. Tom and I have had a life long relationship and we try  to share sone of that in this podcast.

There are a select few individuals who can set a physical goal and accomplish it completely by themselves.  However, in my experience, those people are few and far between.  Coaches, Trainers, and Groups can hold you accountable, teach you the proper technique and also ramp up the intensity more than you may have done on your own.

Drew is back from being knocked out with some sort of virus, and he has A LOT to unpack with Dr. Kenneth Noisewater (Ken Morris)! They discuss watching Eric Jackson on FLW Live fresh off his 2nd place finish on Lake Champlain. Drew gets into some of his personal feelings on working in kayak fishing full time and how he has or has not evolved as much as he feels he should. A little history is recapped about kayak fishing, manufacturers and the sort of mythical rivalry between he and Chad Hoover. The two close the show with an informative "Ask Drew" segment where Kevin Keyes writes in and asks Drew to pair his rods down to just 6 combos and what length/action they would be. 

This week's episode of the Gun Dog Chronicles is a goody. Bob and Kevin talk about the past few hunt test weekends and how all the dogs are performing. We get into a little Q&A from the Lone Duck community and discuss a few things like life vests for dogs, intro to water, T pattern advice, why our pigeon system stinks and a lot more.

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” - Neale Donald Walsch.  This quote is significant to today’s podcast because my son, Hayden, just spent a month Sea Kayaking and backpacking through the Alaskan Wilderness on a NOLS Program. He chose this program knowing that it was outside of his comfort zone. He was put in a group of 12 people that he did not know from around the world and they were expected to come together as a team during the course. I sat down with him in the morning after he returned from this trip as he shared his experience and stories from the trip. As the quote above states, once he got outside of his comfort zone his growth and transformation really began. Lessons in leadership, cooperation and survival had to overcome frustration and sometimes boredom to ensure a successful passage. This is one of my favorite podcasts ever with an exceptional young man that I am lucky enough to have as a son. Special thanks to NOLS for yet another transformative program for another one of my children!
