This was a great week if you like Pokémon clothing! We see a collaboration with UNIQLO that brings us a line of graphic t-shirts with an awesome price of $15! Pokémon Center also released the Outdoors With Pokémon Collection featuring shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, bags and accessories! We talk about our favorites and get our wallets ready!

We wrap up with our Rewatch of Pokémon The Series, Episode 95 - A Way Off Day Off. This was one of those episodes that could fit anywhere in the story arc, as it doesn’t tie to the Orange League or the GS Ball Mission. It was still fun and we get to see appearances by a lot of the team’s Pokémon!

The Play! Pokémon world had a major shakeup with the announcement of the first ever Players Cup! This tournament is the first of its kind and will feature online competitions in the TCGO, VGC and Pokken Tournament DX! The winners in each category will get a travel invite to one if the 2021 International Tournaments! It will be interesting to see how these competitors do on the world stage!

We take a dive into the art of Rebel Clash and discuss how in addition to being a game and a collectible, each TCG card is a miniature piece of artwork! Pokemon.com breaks it down and discusses artistic concepts, artists, and fun styles like frightened and even Pokémon with facial hair!

Niantic has announced Seedot Community Day for May, with the same Play At Home format that we saw with Abra last month. Also announced was a 24 hour YouTube livestream with an open comment section. We will be sure to be in front of our keyboards with popcorn!

Pokémon Masters continues to keep Trainers busy by introducing a new Fighting themed event as well as a new Sync Pair, Wally and Gallade! Also keep a lookout for Korrina and Lucario as their sync grids will be expanded and prepare for the Fighting Type event!

We finally get into our rewatch of Pokémon The Series, Episode 94 - Tracey Gets Bugged! This episode is filled with battles and excitement, as well as another fun variation of the Team Rocket Motto! Tracey steps up as the featured character in this episode, and we get to see him in action!

We start off this week with a discussion about some excellent Galar Pokémon to use in Single Battles! We focus on Galarian Darmanitan and his ability Gorilla Tactics that make it an offensive force to be reckoned with! Corviknight is another formidable foe with its egg move, Defog! Who are you running in competitive Sword and Shield?

Snubbull Limited Research puts a new spin on an event type that we have seen before. The Limited Research has moved to the Today View which makes it easy to access while not interfering with other gameplay! We both really enjoyed this new format and hope it continues!

New plushes have hit the Pokemon Center and we cant agree on which one is the best. We see a stunning Galarian Ponyta and a super cool Sir Fetch’d. Both are some of the coolest plushes we have seen and have awesome designs and colorations. Which one of the newest plushes released is your favorite?

Next we take a look at the TCG Masters Finals from Collinsville where we see an Justin and his Trevanant/Dusknoir Deck go up against Kolton and his Rowlet/Alolan Exeggutor Deck. Both of these decks have some amazing mechanics, however some key draws helped Justin tech his way to victory in 2 games.

Finally we watch Episode 93, Meowth Rules, which continues to develop the relationship between Jessie, James and Meowth. We learn that they all do care about each other very much, even though they still give each other a hard time. While we didn’t see muh battling, we both still enjoyed this episode and look forward to seeing where our party ends up next week!

Rebel Clash is finally here! Adam breaks down the complete product lineup so far and reiterates how important this set will be to the current and future rotations! We have already picked up some product from this set so we can share our hands on experience with the cards!

We have new Wild Area News with the announcement of new promoted Pokémon in Max Raid Battles! This time we see Pokémon that are popularly used in competition like Dragapult, Tyranitar and Rotom! Which Pokémon will you be hunting for on the list?

Pokémon GO has announced a massive five week long research event that takes us back through the history of the Pokémon universe! Niantic has done a great job of being able to feed our imaginations while guiding us through a story using existing game mechanics. You can also expect some serious rewards for completing the research, including a special bonus research arc if you complete the first four weeks worth of tasks!

Finally we rewatch Episode 92 of Pokemon The Series: A Shipful of Shivers! We are excited to see our friends Gastly and Haunter make a return, and this episode has a really cool concept and story. We both really enjoyed it but the last scene left us scratching our heads. What did you think of this episode?

We have a lot of animation news this week! We start with the announcement and trailer for the 23rd season of the anime, Pokémon Journeys! We see Ash on his continued journey to be the best along with  his new friend Goh, who hopes to catch every Pokémon! The animation style and theme song leave us wanting more and we are excited for its release on June 12th!

Rebel Clash will release in a few days, and we take a look at a few cards that we expect will become popular in the Standard Format. Eldegoss V along with Boss’s Orders look to be a very powerful combination! Let us know if you will be running any cards from Rebel Clash in your deck!

Abra Community Day was this weekend, and we share the different ways that we experienced the event! Ken went out and played through a solo and socially distant walk through Red Bank, NJ while Adam played from home in his pajamas! Two opposite ways to play that yielded very similar results! Remote raiding is also on the horizon and we are exceptionally excited to give it a try!

Next up is Twilight Wings Episode 4, which turns out to be our clear favorite of the series so far. We see Nessa go through some soul searching to prove to Chairman Rose that she will not be held back, whether as a model or a Pokémon Trainer. This episode has some of the best music and amazing animation we have seen from in a long time.

Finally we wrap up with our rewatch of Snack Attack, which includes a fan favorite Pokémon in Snorlax, however the story falls a bit flat. Even though we just came off an episode where Ash was battling in the Orange League, we revert to another sidewinder story that has nothing to do with the League or the GS Ball. Remote raiding and a slew of quality of life upgrades are coming to Pokémon GO! Niantic released a dump of information  regarding the new features, however we are unsure of when they will all go live in the game! Either way we are very excited for the release of remote raiding!

We take a quick peek at the latest products from Pokémon Center before our audio rewatch of Pokémon: The Series, Episode 90 - Navel Maneuvers! While we are confused over the name, this episode does have some great story and finally puts Ash back on course to becoming a Champion!

Gotta Watch’em All 89 - The Joy Of Pokémon

We have news covering all of the major Pokemon formats this week! Starting in the main series, Pokémon.com has detailed the Signature Move for our newest Mythical Pokémon, Zarude! Healing Jungle is looking to be a very powerful move making Zarude an amazing teammate in battle! We also like that such a fierce and aggressive looking Pokémon has a healing Signature Move!

As we prepare for the release of the next TCG expansion, Rebel Clash, we take a close look at a few of the newest VMAX cards that feature the fully evolved versions of the Galar Starters! Adam breaks down the moves and gives some tips on how to incorporate these cards into your deck!

Pokémon GO has released a live Global Leaderboard for the GO Battle League that features a daily ranking of the top 500 battlers in the format! Could this be the first step into adding Pokemon GO to the Play! Pokémon roster of games? 

Next we take a look at a bunch of new Plushes released at the Pokémon Center! There were 6 new Poké Plush released, but Adam and Ken both agree that Galarian Weezing is the gem of the bunch! Which one is your favorite?

Finally we sit back and watch Episode 89 of the Anime, The Joy of Pokémon! This episode lives up to its name and is centered around a very unique Nurse Joy that not only has an awesome tan, but is also buff! While we don’t see any new Pokémon in this episode, we do see a massive Magikarp that is absolutely awesome!

We discuss what this means for competitors that have already accrued points in the 2020 season! The 2021 World Championships will still be taking place in London, and are promised to be even bigger than originally planned!

Niantic is continuing to make adjustments to Pokémon GO to embrace at home play! You can expect features that cover multiple tentpole philosophies to be changed, including Social and Live Events!

Due to Rebel Clash Pre-Release Events being formally cancelled by Play! Pokémon, the Build and Battle Box that is normally part of the pre-release kit will be made available starting 4/18 through local game shops! Support your local business by seeing if they offer curbside pickup or shipping options!

We have a lot of news to cover this week! We start with the effects of COVID-19 on the world of Play! Pokémon events and Pokémon GO. I added a small clip at the beginning of the show as in the time between recording and releasing this episode, Play! Pokémon announced that they are cancelling the rest of the 2020 Championship Series! We then share the steps that Niantic has made to adapt Pokémon GO to the current state of affairs with being outside and in groups!

Nintendo dropped a a Direct Mini which featured gameplay and information from the Isle of Armor expansion! We give our hot take on Kubfu and discuss what we hope the narrative is like in the first DLC!

Pokémon Center has dropped a massive T-Shirt release with some really cool jewelry thrown in too! We talk about our favorites and how we will probably not be able to keep our money in the bank! 

Twilight Wings Episode 3 was released and it may be our favorite so far. While we are having a bit of trouble finding the cohesion between episodes, the score and animation of this episode really stood out! The episode features Wooloo, so…. Floof.

Adam also gives some analysis on the Galarian Obstagood Deck that was featured on Pokémon.com. He explains how the strategy behind it works, and gives his thoughts on ways to make some big plays.

We wrap up the show with an audio watchaloing of Pokémon The Series Episode 87 - Shell Shock! While no mention of the GS Ball or the Orange League, this episode was entertaining and had a fun story arc.

With the release of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, we dig into GameSpot’s review and discuss what they liked so much about the game. It looks like there are a mixed bag of reviews coming from games media, and we recap a few scores from across the web.

Adam digs in to a Sword and Shield TCG showcase that features some great art and cool techniques. We see some really cool concepts like Pokémon making appearances in other cards as well as multiple artists working on multiple cards for the same Pokemon! What is your favorite card from the latest expansion?

We take a look at some new releases at the Pokémon Center, including some new Funko, plushes, and figures! We are having a hard time resisting the Poké Plush line, but know how to keep things controlled when it comes to An Afternoon With Eevee collection!

We wrap up with a watchalong of Pokémon: The Series Episode 86, In The Pink! This Episode was excellent, but played into the style of not following the main story arc of the Orange League or the GS Ball. It was still fun, but it left Ken and Adam wanting some more substance!
