WBEZ's Wikipedia Files

Not sure what to do with your weekend? A photo exhibit about malaria and an Afro-Cuban dance party round out this week's edition of Global Passport.

In 2007, Fall Out Boy was on top of the world, topping the Billboard charts and performing for sold-out crowds of screaming teenagers.

With no basketball season, the Chicago Blackhawks have the United Center to themselves (until the circus comes to town). It's sort of takes us back to the glory days of Blackhawk hockey, when Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita ruled the West Side. You know, before MJ was born.

This week, actor Michael K. Williams made a quick stop-over in Chicago promoting his fall shows Boardwalk Empire and Community. Williams made his big splash by playing Omar Little for five seasons on the HBO show The Wire. So what does that mean? It means he has a kick-ass Wikipedia page.

Marc Maron may have wrapped up the first run of his wildly popular WTF Podcast on WBEZ, but that won't stop us from fact-checking his Wikipedia Page. Maron stopped by our studios when in town earlier this month.

It's time for another installment of Wikipedia Files, the video segment where we fact-check Wikipedia pages with celebrities. Last week, we had the good fortune of high rollin' up at the Trump Tower.

First off, may I just say that Stacey King is a giant? Look at how big he is compared to little ole' me. I would not want to meet him in the paint. King is well-known to Chicago sports fans. He was a role player during the Chicago Bulls first championship run in the early 90s.
