This episode was a fun one. A great dialogue between the four of us. Ngaynia Morris, Deshann Sanchez, & Kristin Mastantuono. Deshann has been with us previously and we love her so we brought her back to expand on some topics! Kristin one of our lovely engineers with a lot of very valuable input in this one. Titled "Tell Us", this is Yariah's first spoken word piece. 

In this episode Ngaynia (Linda) and Justin are joined by Yariah Myers. Yariah is a young woman from Illinois. Just before the George Floyd murder and protests that ensued, Yariah had relocated to Minnesota. You'll hear us talk about that and her experience since moving to Minnesota. Inspired through all of these experiences Yariah wrote her first spoken word piece, titled Tell Us. And wow, is it moving! Look out for a separate video and recording of the poem by itself. Yariah also shared with all of us the story of Eric Lurry from Joliet, Illinois. Skip to the 36 minute mark to hear that story in particular. Eric Lurry was brutally murdered by Joliet police, found in the parking lot of the Police Station. @TTLYRIAH

In today's episode we sat down with Huda. The three of us all met during protests in Minneapolis. Huda is an activist and community organizer. She works largely with youth and as you'll hear in this conversation has larger aspirations for her community. @justaskhuda on instagram to get in touch!

Imani is a University of Minnesota student and has a catering/chef service, Chopped and Served. Her and her team have been accepting donations and using it to serve community meals in the Twin Cities. In this episode Justin and Imani sit down to chat about a wide range of topics. Imani's experience as a black jew, their experiences through the most recent "activation", and even a tangent about psychedelics.

Deshann is an organizer with the Justice Frontline Aid. A group that has been and continues providing mutual aid for communities and for protesters.
