On today’s episode, we meet @thehunnibeehive co-hosts, Rhi and Maddy.
Rhi is a mom and a mental health advocate who believes that opening up the conversation is important to encourage those who are suffering to connect and seek help and knows that talking about it openly, future generations will not suffer alone. Her Instagram @stronger.than.the.storm is a powerful resource for knowing you are not alone.
Maddy has been working in the television and media industry for the past 7 years and is passionate about living a sustainable healthy lifestyle both mentally and physically. She personally grew up with a very mistaken idea of mental health and believed that mental health was something to be ashamed of and should be swept under the rug. That couldn’t be farther from the truth – and she wants to make sure people never feel that way.
In this episode, we talk about:
- Mental health misconceptions
- Our own personal experiences with mental illnesses, all from different perspectives
- The importance of sleep for your mental health
- Removing the stigma surrounding mental illnesses
- Their podcast, the hunnibee hive which is sure to inspire you, make you laugh and promises a different kind of editing style
