We Do Keanu

Our goal in releasing an episode this week is to offer some respite during the horrific events of police brutality and racial injustice plaguing American cities. Donate if you can, support black artists, and stand up for what is right. It's what Keanu would want. #blacklivesmatter

This week, Brett and Dylan are talking about the seemingly forgotten darkly comedic crime film, Feeling Minnesota. There's not much to like in this flick, but the Keanu boys try their darndest to find some things to like about it, including a pretty great acting job by Vincent D'Onofrio, but it's not enough to save this one from a jumbled plot that makes very little sense from the get-go. Have you seen Feeling Minnesota? Do you have strong feelings one way or another? Let us know in the form below!

This week Brett and Dylan are joined by honorary third host, Tucker Batrell to talk about Chain Reaction. A movie that Brett was excited to revisit, and doesn't end up really living up to what it could have been. Unless it's just supposed to be a movie about how Keanu is just a nice guy. The movie isn't really worth watching, but this podcast is great! Except for when we had some technical difficulties about 30 minutes in. Oh well!

This week Brett and Dylan are joined by one of their all time favorite people, Ashley Badostain (Brett's best gal), to talk about the historical romance drama, A Walk In The Clouds. Produced by THE ZUCKER BROTHERS (what?!), and starring an amazing cast, this movie didn't really make much of an impression in 1995, but will Brett, Dylan, and Ashley find anything to fall in love with? Does movie stomp on the grapes of their hearts? Or does it not know any other way to love? Or is it all just a walk... in... the clouds?

Coming off the success of Speed, Keanu decided to show the world what the future might hold with Johnny Mneumonic. Brett and Dylan are joined by Cody Connolly (Full Metal Brewer Radio) to talk about the bizarre vision of the internet, Dolph Lundgren, a psychic dolphin, ROOM SERVICE, and how to hack your own brain.

Pop quiz hotshot! What do you get when you combine Keanu Reeves, a bus, a bomb, and Dennis Hopper? One of the greatest action movies of the 90s. That's what. Brett and Dylan are joined by their friend Koji Crill to talk about SPEED and what makes it a notch above the typical Die Hard rip offs. Is this a 5-whoa movie? Listen and find out!

Oh boy, this is a tough one. Little Buddha stars Keanu Reeves as the Buddha and it's a big yikes. There's other stuff in there, too, but that's the main thing about it. If you haven't seen it, prepare to be bored out of your mind, and good luck getting through it.

This week, Brett and Dylan are doing Keanu by watching Much Ado About Nothing. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and starring Keanu Reeves as the dastardly and bastardly villain, Don John. Dylan supposedly loves it, and Brett admittedly is bad at Shakespeare, so listen and find out where they both come down on it. Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes!

This week, Brett and Dylan are joined by comedian Jynx Jenkins to discuss 1992's Bram Stoker's Dracula. Brett thinks Francis Ford Coppola is overrated, Dylan tries to understand what was going on with this thing, and Jynx really appreciates the theatricality of all of it. Also, they decide that Keanu Reeves reputation for this thing is completely unfounded because everyone in this movie sucks.

My Own Private Idaho is seen as a classic in indie filmmaking and really put Keanu Reeves on the map in terms of acting, but does it hold up 30 years later? To talk about it, Brett and Dylan are joined by returning guest and bonafide film nerd, Tucker Battrell. Is this a good adaptation of Henry IV? Is Keanu good in this thing? Is Brett a garbage person? Listen and find out!
