They discuss when to give or take advice from a friend, learning to truly hear what their friends are asking for, and what it looks like to "hold space" for their friends who are hurting. The funny thing is, Imposter Syndrome is strictly one's own belief and does not actually mean they are phony. In this episode, Katie and Christie discuss where their own experiences with Imposter Syndrome stem from, how it shows up in their lives to this day, and what they do to shake it off. They also talk about the feelings of lingering self-doubt, finding middle ground to regain self-confidence, and removing comparison in order to deactivate Imposter Syndrome. Katie and Christie are getting to know how to tap into their creative sides by using art therapy. This week, they are joined by special guest, Brianna Haffner, who is a board-certified, licensed art therapist with a practice based outside of Philadelphia. In this episode, Brianna does an excellent job at explaining the beauty of art therapy and how it works to promote deeper healing and understanding of oneself. She will discuss the basics; what art therapy is, how it differs from other forms of therapy, and how to discover which artistic medium works best for you. She will also go further into how art is used as a form of communication, using creativity to open up the brain, and learning to love the process of art-making vs. the final product. Although art-making itself can be therapeutic, there is a power to art therapy that offers endless benefits and different ways to learn more about yourself. Tune in and get creative!
