1 in 6 teachers quit the profession within one year of starting, while 1 in 3 quit within the first five years. In the last year, 1 in 5 say they have been physically hit by pupils, whilst 15% of secondary school teachers say they have been sexually harassed.

With mounting workloads and more than ten unpaid overtime hours every week, is low pay the key issue? How would the conversation around education reforms change, with improved working conditions and greater job satisfaction for teachers?
