This past week evil was shown while children and adults were participating in the Liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church at the Annunciation Day School.

This sermon offers words on "Why" and "How" and even addresses "Where God is" during horrific events like this take place.

Please keep in your prayers those students who are still in the hospital, including a Greek Orthodox 14yr old student named Sophia, who was struck with a bullet to her head.  Please pray that our Lord continue to be with those suffering, their families, doctors, surgeons, nurses and school staff.  May the souls whose lives were tragically taken be eternal!

Today we hear in the Gospel Passage about forgiveness (please take a moment to read the passage).  We hopefully always ask God for His mercy and forgiveness on a regular/daily basis along with hopefully participating in the Mystery of Confession and Repentance.  

We also hear in the Lord's Prayer "...Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us..." 

What does this mean for us today?  How do we say/pray this line of the prayer?

In the Gospel Passage today we hear about Christ feeding the 5000 (besides women and children).

Do you know what happened before this miracle took place?

St. John the Baptist was beheaded and after hearing about this, Christ retreats privately to pray and we hear that the multitudes followed after Him.

What does this mean for us today, are we hungry for Christ in this life???

In the Gospel Passage today we hear how our Lord and Savior was greeted with palm trees and branches.  We too are holding palms today imitating those who cried out to Him.

But are the palms blessed?  What do with them at home?

Today is Palm Sunday and we hear in the Gospel Passage  about those who cried out to our Lord, "Hosanna in the Highest...".  We know that yesterday, Lazarus Saturday and today begin Great and Holy Week for us.

Yet are we going to make this week Greater than the other 51 weeks of the year?

Are we going to make this week "set apart" (that's what αγιος/holy) means.
