In this episode (the last of Married Couple May), we go through the history of combat actions through different versions of D&D to see how much they’ve changed. But don’t fall asleep in class yet, because we’re also building a 1d6 roll table of juicy rumours your players might hear in town… and I heard it’s a good one! We also heard Alec is back next week… stay tuned to find out if he’s been listening to the pod while he’s been away!

We’ve gone fully off the rails without Alec. In this episode we share 2 more show & tell items, including a homebrewed Ranger subclass inspired by a character from Baldur’s Gate, and a sneaky BUT LEGAL way to get part of a MCDM resource for free! And then we play a game of Unhinged Shopping Spree, where we look through the D&D Shop Catalogue and try to put together shopping list combinations that would make a DM go “…huh.” If you want to play along at home, you can find the 5e D&D Shop Catalogue here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DnD/comments/m8w8c6/updated_more_inclusive_5e_dd_shops_catalog_v201/

In this episode, we deep dive into Kelly’s villain origin story, starting with his Lord of the Rings-themed 12th birthday party. We also build characters inspired by Indiana Jones, and try to guess the prices of D&D collabs and the 1977 box set (Spoiler: we’re very bad at it).

Alec is away this month, so in this first episode of our “Married Couple May” series, Kelly and Laurenne put the strength of their marriage to the test and compete head to head in a fantasy hot dog eating competition. We also share some show & tell items, including a 60-room haunted house dungeon, and a resource for every d100 roll table you could ever want (probably?).

In this episode, we finally share our second show and tell items, including a resource for unique roll tables, a tool for mapping out point crawls, and a TTRPG where you play lovers trying to uncover the secrets behind a mysterious artifact. We also play a very normal and fantasy-themed game of 2 DMs 1 Player that takes place at a wizards guild and nothing out of the ordinary happens at all.

We played Nimble for the very first time, and we wanna talk about it! In this episode, we delve into our experience playing the free quick start adventure for this system, including character creation with all the fun classes and playable races, combat, and what it was like for Kelly to run it for us with minimal prep.

We're playing the Nimble starter adventure! Mugwort and Damian get roped into saving Moonblossom, the fairy of Merrivale. Mugwort the cute Bunbun experiments with dark shadow magic, and Damian, the Ratfolk boy, tries to pick up everyone he meets.

We're back baby! Starting off season 2 with our old faithful segments: "Show and Tell" and "Two DMs One Player". Alec brings us some TTRPG history, Laurenne brings a game about making deals with the devil, and Kelly brings a free 5e adventure written by Kelsey Dionne. Then we finish off with a classic scenario that we've all experienced, when your girlfriend's talking dog absolutely hates you.

The finale of season 1 of the podcast formerly known as Prince (We Like D&D)! Laurenne brings a cozy little adventure about helping with a proposal, Kelly brings a coffee table monster compendium, and Alec brings some thirsty lesbians. Then, just in time for right after Valentine's day, we build rom com characters! We finish off with a game of 2 DMs 1 Player where KELLY is the player?!

Thank you all so much for listening to season 1, we'll be back in April for season 2. We appreciate you!

For show & tell, we discuss an ambient music map, a DIY Daggerheart fear tracker, and a 3-person TTRPG where you get to play witches in a mending circle. We also build the skeleton for a Fallout-inspired adventure, just in time for the season 2 finale! And finally, we play an extremely silly round of 2 DMs 1 Player, where Kelly drops some very timely pop culture references… about 30 years too late.
