We Should Do This Again Sometime with Kat & Marc

To wrap up our Halloween series, albeit a week before Thanksgiving, Kat and Marc discuss some exception work from horror director and icon Wes Craven. The episode starts with reviewing the first two “Scream” films and ends with the wild ride that is “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”

Coming off of one of the most important presidential elections of our lifetime, Kat and Marc give their thoughts on US President-elect Joe Biden’s win over our current Sith Lord in Chief.

The Godfather of Hyphen Podcast Group Kelen Conley makes his first (well, second) appearance on WSDTAS. The gang was tasked to discuss John Carpenter (“Halloween”, “The Thing” and “Big Trouble in Little China”) but they got sidetracked by Kurt Russell being Kurt Russell. Also, what’s with Michael Myers’ affinity for nipples? They all take a deep dive, in more ways than one.

October’s thriller theme continues with examining the trilogy arch of director Tim Burton (“Beetlejuice”, “Edward Scissorhands” and “Mars Attacks!”). Kat & Marc explore how Burton views society through his creative lens. First, Marc conjures a plan on how the movie theaters could potentially save themselves.

In this week’s episode, Handsome Bane returns to discuss the trilogy arch of director Henry Selick by way of “James and the Giant Peach”, “A Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Coraline”. Also, Tim Burton is put in the mix and Batman Soundtrack conspiracy theories are tossed around. Setting the tone for October in true Kat & Marc fashion.

Marc wonders if he should give Christopher Nolan’s Tenet a try while it’s still in theaters.

The gang takes a hiatus from their hiatus to drop a pod on the new “Dune” trailer. Basically, Kat and Marc needed an excuse to fanboy over Timothée Chalamet and John Boyega. (Actually, they really didn’t need a reason.) Also, Marc finally comes around on Christopher Nolan.

Fourth time’s a charm. In the latest installment of “Deleted Scenes”, the lost gems are plentiful. Kat and Marc give music and movie recommendations, rally against the Twitter algorithm, and Gene from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” finally gets some shine. Well, maybe not. But first, they pay homage to their inspirations.
