We’re off to see the Wizard! Kat & Marc review John Chu’s latest “Wicked: For Good”. The coven toils over the movie’s murky messaging, stellar performances, and the overall purpose of the series. Kat compares and contrasts the movie to the musical while Marc wrestles with how the movie ended.

For Spooky SZN, Kat (aka Johnni Evil) & Marc (aka The Slumber God) dive into Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein” (in theaters now and on Netflix November 7th). They gush over del Toro’s career and Jacob Elordi doing something most young actors haven’t done. 

Also, for the Best of the Century entry, the gang reviews Robert Eggers' “The Witch”. 

In an unforeseen but welcomed pivot, Kat & Marc discuss beloved Nancy Meyers film “Something’s Gotta Give” for their Best of the Century series. They talk the perfect role for Diane Keaton, beautiful Meyers’ houses, and directors maximizing Keanu Reeves. 

Also, the gang reviews the underwhelming supernatural horror film “Black Phone 2”. 

After this week’s films, Kat could use a drink! We dive into a few of Marc’s favorite films “Almost Famous” and “Sideways”. The duo talks great performances, tight scripts, and confounding white men. 

For our 200th episode (!!!!), Kat & Marc are joined by Kelen Conley to discuss the romance classics “In The Mood For Love” and “Before Sunset”. The gang talks the emergence of Asian cinema in America and why this generation is gravitating to Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar-wai. Lastly, Kat ether’s Jesse Wallace.
