On this episode of We Talk Careers, Kristine Delano and Nicole Gates dive deep into high-performing teams: balancing accountability with compassion. From the pendulum swing of pandemic-era empathy to the pitfalls of overcorrecting with cold, metric-driven leadership, they unpack the tension every leader must master. Expect personal stories, cautionary tales (yes, firing the entire sales team is a bad idea), and strategies for building trust while still demanding results.
So, this is the example of my accountability. After I published this episode, I noticed it was corrupted. I panicked. I deleted, but it may still be out there. Here’s the new one without the overlayed voices. My apologies. And on an episode of Accountability. Very on brand!
Thankfully, we also have compassion. After 30 years of friendship and through careers in high finance and government contracting, Kristine and Nicole debate and probe how to balance compassion and accountability.
