We The People

In this episode of We The People, Gates Garcia breaks down the bill House Republicans just passed — one that says if you want to vote in an American election, you have to prove you're an American citizen — and asks how a sentence like that ever became a national controversy.

Cable news is melting down. Activists are calling it discriminatory. Gates makes the case that for almost all of American history, this wouldn't have been a bold new idea — it would have been common sense, and traces exactly how the debate stopped being about election law and started being about something much deeper.

In this monologue episode of We The People, Gates Garcia reacts to a new Gallup poll showing declining confidence in capitalism and asks a simple but urgent question: How did America become uncertain about the very system that built its prosperity? Gates argues that the real issue isn't economics—it's education. He explores the difference between capitalism and cronyism, why free markets reward value creation, and how entrepreneurship has long been one of America's greatest strengths.

From family businesses and local entrepreneurs to faith, stewardship, and the American Dream, this episode makes the case that success isn't something to apologize for—it's something to use wisely. Gates challenges listeners to rediscover the principles that built the largest middle class in history and consider why economic freedom remains worth defending.

In this monologue episode of We The People, Gates Garcia examines the conversation surrounding the Pentagon's reported plan to screen service members over 30 for low testosterone—and argues that the real story has little to do with a single hormone. Instead, Gates explores what it says about the broader state of men's health and why physical, mental, and emotional well-being are essential to strong families, resilient communities, and a capable nation. Rather than fueling another political debate, Gates challenges men to take ownership of their health by embracing discipline, accountability, and preventive care. From sleep and nutrition to fitness and routine medical checkups, this episode is a reminder that strong fathers build strong families—and strong families remain the foundation of a strong America. #WeThePeople #GatesGarcia #StrongMen #MensHealth #Fatherhood #Leadership #Family #Discipline #Health #PersonalResponsibility #America Follow We The People and Gates Garcia across Social Media: Twitter – https://x.com/GatesGarciaFL Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/gatesgarciafl/ YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@WeThePeopleShow Website – https://www.wethepeoplemedia.com 🎧 Subscribe to the Podcast: RSS Feed – https://wethepeoplemedia.podbean.com/ Apple Podcasts – https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/we-the-people/id1794018527 Amazon Music – https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/5a7b37f9-9bd0-4316-8855-da4dd2f3e9ea/we-the-people iHeart Radio – https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1323-we-the-people-262185022/ Spotify – https://open.spotify.com/show/6OJKGIXs751PN9qFL1FcJl We The People with Gates Garcia is recorded at the We The People Media studios in Tampa, FL, and produced by Gates Garcia.

In this monologue episode of We The People, Gates Garcia reflects on the kind of message he believes America needs to hear right now. From entrepreneurship and faith to family, service, and personal responsibility, this episode explores why America's future won't be determined by algorithms or endless political arguments, but by people choosing to build something that lasts. The fireworks are over.

The smoke has cleared.

Now comes the part that matters most.

For the past five days, we've remembered the courage, sacrifice, character, and common sense that built America.

But history has never been written by spectators.

It's written by people willing to step into the arena.

The future of this nation won't be decided only in Washington.

It will be decided around dinner tables, in churches, in classrooms, on Little League fields, and in the quiet decisions no camera will ever record.

One day, another generation will look back on ours.

They won't ask how many followers we had.

They won't remember what trended.

They'll ask one question:

What kind of ancestors were they?

History has handed our generation the pen.

Let's write a chapter worthy of those who came before us—and those who will come after us.

Thank you for joining us on this six-part journey.

Before you watch the fireworks tonight... Ask yourself one question. If America disappeared tomorrow, what idea would the world miss the most? Two hundred and fifty years ago, one small pamphlet helped change the course of history. Thomas Paine called it Common Sense. Its message wasn't written for kings or scholars. It was written for ordinary people—and it helped inspire an extraordinary nation. The future of America won't be secured by discovering new truths. It will be secured by rediscovering the timeless ones that built her in the first place. Faith. Family. Character. Responsibility. Freedom. Happy Independence Day. And thank God for America. What's the greatest threat to America?

For years, we've been told it's our past.

The Founders believed it would come from our future.

Not from a foreign army.

Not from an invading power.

But from a people who slowly lose the character necessary to remain free.

Freedom was never meant to stand on government alone.

It depends on families.

Churches.

Communities.

And ordinary people willing to govern themselves before someone else has to.

That's the secret liberty has always required.

Join us all week as we explore the virtues that built America—and what it will take to preserve them for the next 250 years.

The American Dream has an enemy almost nobody is talking about. It's not inflation. It's not Washington. It's comfort. Comfort is one of the blessings of a free society. But when comfort becomes our highest goal, sacrifice begins to look like failure instead of virtue. The men who founded this nation weren't searching for easier lives. They were willing to risk everything for something greater than themselves. The question every generation must answer is the same: What is worth sacrificing for? Freedom has never been free. Before Patrick Henry declared, "Give me liberty, or give me death," he understood exactly what those words meant. Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's choosing what is right despite it. Every generation faces moments that test its character. Ours is no exception.
